Completecraft changes multiple core Minecraft mechanics and adds new ones.
The Completecraft combat system is inspired by the Minecraft Dungeons combat system. All weapons have a unique cooldown and durability. While, in 1.9, the player can technically constantly swing their weapon, regardless of cooldown, in Completecraft, the player must always wait out the cooldown before being able to swing their weapon again. The angle at which the player hits their opponent also matters. In 1.9, the player must directly click at their opponent for the hit to register and deal damage. In Completecraft, the player must only swing in the right direction at the right angle and make sure that, at some point during the swing, their weapon hits the opponent.
Weapons also have a unique swing time, which determines how long it takes the player to successfully swing the weapon and deal damage with it. If the player swings their weapon away from the opponent, but quickly moves their weapon toward the opponent, the swing will still deal damage, regardless of where the swing began.
Weapons can be swung through grass and the left mouse button can be held down to spam attacks (each attack will still have a cooldown).
Each weapon has its own set of attacks that it performs in order. Most weapons can perform three attacks - a swing to the left, a swing to the right and a horizontal (middle) cut.
The Sweeping Edge enchantment has a different function. Without Sweeping Edge, weapons hitting multiple targets will deal less damage. With Sweeping Edge, the weapon will deal its base damage to all targets it hits.

By pressing R (or a different chosen rolling hotkey), the player can roll 3 blocks forward. This can be used to avoid attacks and was inspired by the same mechanic in Minecraft Dungeons.

Foxes can be tamed using Sweet Berries. It typically takes upwards of 10 Sweet Berries to tame one fox.
This feature was inspired by China Edition, where the player can own a customizable pet fox.

Gears are unique Redstone components brought back from version Indev 0.31. They allow Redstone signals to climb up walls and run on flat floors/ceilings simultaneously.
They are activated through a Rotational Converter block which must be connected to a power source. To retrieve the Redstone signal from moving gears, another Rotational Converter must be placed on the other side of the contraption and connected to Redstone dust or another Redstone component.
