Let's do our best to represent Gracefully Fierce Dance Company and Ms. Gina in the best way possible with positive comments, good sportsmanship, spreading love and good vibes!
PRIOR TO PERFORMANCES:
Please label EVERYTHING ~ ALL costume pieces, accessories, make-up, hair tools, etc.
Arrival times will be announced in advance. Please arrive on-time or better yet, early!
Dancers should arrive with make-up and hair done, wearing a button or zip shirt or jacket (anything that does not have to go over their head). They will change into costumes & tights upon arrival. No undergarments should be worn unless part of the costume.
All costumes must be transported to & from the competition on a hanger AND in garment bags. Each costume should be in a separate garment bag to prevent zippers or sequins from damaging other costumes and multiple costumes should be transported in a sturdy garment bag.
Costumes should be cared for carefully, kept on hangers and inside garment bags and checked before & after each competition for missing pieces, wrinkles, stains, damage, etc.
Check the condition of dance shoes and order replacements if necessary (i.e. no holes or major scuffs) with enough time for dancers to break in new shoes.
Please help your dancer with costumes, make-up and hair as needed. Practice in advance using the make-up and hair tutorials. NO sharing lipstick, please!
Only one female guardian is allowed in the dressing room to assist your dancer. No siblings, friends, or males are allowed in the dressing room.
Please check and double check that your dancer is stage-ready before you leave the dressing room. This means make-up, hair, costume, tights, shoes and accessories are in place. And there is no jewelry, hair ties on wrist, nail polish, etc.
DURING PERFORMANCES:
Please be respectful and supportive of ALL DANCERS AND STUDIOS.
Do cheer, clap, whistle, etc - anything to support our dancers and send positive energy their way.
Do NOT enter or exit the auditorium during a performance as this can be very distracting to the dancers on stage.
When possible, dancers should stay until after awards and teachers have had the opportunity to celebrate them.
PHOTO & VIDEOS:
NO PHOTOS OR VIDEOS ARE ALLOWED INSIDE THE DRESSING ROOM OR DURING PERFORMANCES!!!
All dances are professionally photographed and recorded. We will receive a link to download all photos and videos a few days after the competition.
From Encore's website: Photography and video recording is always prohibited! Videotaping and photography of any kind is not allowed in order to protect choreography and due to our contracts with professional videographers and photographers. Personal cameras, video cameras, and any other recording devices are prohibited in the auditorium.
SOCIAL MEDIA:
Photos: Please be mindful of other dancer's privacy and preferences when posting photos on social media.
Videos: PLEASE DO NOT POST ANY VIDEOS ON SOCIAL MEDIA!!! This is important to protect the choreography that our teachers and choreographers have worked so hard on.
