To reiterate The Charter,
We urgently need to make compassion a clear, luminous and dynamic force in our polarized world. Rooted in a principled determination to transcend selfishness, compassion can break down...boundaries. Born of our deep interdependence, compassion is essential to human relationships and to a fulfilled humanity. It is the path to enlightenment, and indispensable to the creation of a just economy and a peaceful global community.
Students will be working with the following organizations that ACS-Amman have pledged support to the SEE: Change program (Community Service program)
- Ruwwad Al Tanmia
- Collateral Repair Project
- Reclaim Childhood
- Habitat 4 Humanity (Optional with a donation of 50 jODs per participant, all donations go straight to Habitat)
Activity I: Story Sharing
Students and children of refugee will be meeting in the Gym. Students and children will be grouped into groups of 15 (10 Compassion Summit students and 5 children). The story sharing can session will follow the following guidelines:
Read the following Human Rights aloud:
1. We Are All Born Free & Equal
2. Don’t Discriminate.
3. The Right to Life.
4. No Torture. Nobody has any right to hurt us or to torture us.
5. You Have Rights No Matter Where You Go. I am a person just like you!
6. We’re All Equal Before the Law. The law is the same for everyone. It must treat us all fairly.

Make a visual about Compassion
Students will be grouped into 4 groups and will rotate between the below 4 stations, spending 25 minutes at each station with 5 minute passing times:
Learning Commons: Reading, students will pair up with one child from the group and select a book to read
Gym: Therapy through sports, students will play a game of Basketball on half court
Field: Therapy through sports, student will set up a 4 small-sided one-goal soccer matches for the children.
MPR: Boxes Game (our shared humanity)
