Welcome to NoteHub ("we", "our", or "us"). NoteHub is a peer-to-peer marketplace Android application that allows students to buy and sell study notes, with a focus on competitive exams such as NEET, JEE, UPSC, and related academic subjects.
This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect your personal information when you use our mobile application and related services (collectively, the "Service"). By downloading and using NoteHub, you agree to the practices described in this Privacy Policy.

2.3 Information from Third Parties
• If you sign in using Google, we receive your name, email address, and profile picture as provided by Google

The following information on your seller profile is visible to all users of the app:
• Your display name and profile photo
• Your exam category and achievement badges (if any)
• Your notes listings, ratings, and review count
• Your total number of sales (not earnings amount)
4.2 Payment Processors
To process payments and payouts, we share necessary financial information with our payment gateway partners (such as Razorpay, PayU, or similar RBI-authorised payment service providers). These partners are bound by their own privacy policies and applicable regulations.

We may share data with trusted third-party service providers who assist us in operating the app, including cloud hosting providers, analytics tools, and customer support platforms. These providers are contractually obligated to keep your data confidential.

• Access controls to limit who within our team can access your data

However, no method of transmission over the internet or method of electronic storage is 100% secure. While we strive to protect your personal information, we cannot guarantee its absolute security. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.
6. Note Content and Intellectual Property
When you upload notes to NoteHub:
• You confirm that you are the original creator of the notes and own the intellectual property rights
• You grant NoteHub a non-exclusive licence to host, display, and distribute your notes to buyers on the platform
• You remain the owner of your content
• NoteHub reserves the right to remove any content that violates copyright, contains plagiarised material, or breaches our content policies
Buyers who purchase notes receive a personal, non-transferable licence to use the notes for their own study purposes only. Redistribution, resale, or sharing of purchased notes is strictly prohibited.
7. Children's Privacy
NoteHub is intended for users who are 13 years of age or older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 13. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us immediately at the email address provided in Section 11. We will promptly delete such information from our records.
Users between 13 and 18 years of age should use the app with parental guidance.
8. Your Rights
As a user of NoteHub, you have the following rights with respect to your personal data:
• Access: You may request a copy of the personal information we hold about you
• Correction: You may update or correct inaccurate information through your profile settings
• Deletion: You may request deletion of your account and associated data by contacting us
• Portability: You may request an export of your data in a machine-readable format
• Opt-out of notifications: You may manage push notification preferences through your device settings or within the app

9. Data Retention
We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. Specifically:
• Account data is retained for the duration of your account, plus 90 days after deletion
• Transaction records are retained for 7 years as required by Indian financial regulations
• Uploaded notes are deleted from our servers within 30 days of account deletion, unless a buyer has already purchased them (in which case buyers retain their downloaded copies)
• Anonymised usage analytics may be retained indefinitely
10. Third-Party Links and Services
NoteHub may contain links to third-party websites or integrate with third-party services (such as Google Sign-In or payment gateways). This Privacy Policy does not apply to those third-party services. We encourage you to review the privacy policies of any third-party services you interact with through our app.
