Dr. Jamel Hodges was born and raised in North Augusta, SC. He is the Assistant Director of Programming within Multicultural Services and Programming at the University of Georgia. He is a 2011 graduate of the University of South Carolina Aiken with a Bachelor’s degree in Middle Level Education. He began working at Augusta University in 2012, where he completed a Master of Public Administration program and a Doctor of Education program. His passions revolve around issue concerning diversity, equity and inclusion. This is highlighted in his dissertation, as he sought to strengthen the African American student experience in a university setting.
