Monday, June 15th, 2026 at the Mequon Nature Preserve
9 AM to 1 PM CT
We’re thrilled to invite you to our newly expanded homeschool gathering at the beautiful Mequon Nature Preserve!
This year, we’ve taken our annual Curriculum Resale Event to the next level. You’ll still find gently used curriculum, books, and educational resources to shop and sell, but now we’ve added even more ways to connect, learn, and grow together as a homeschool community.
What’s New This Year:
Afternoon Social Hour – A time for seasoned and new homeschool families to meet, mingle, and talk all things homeschooling in a relaxed and welcoming space.
Coffee Truck -
Lunch Food Truck – Come hungry! A local food truck will be on-site during lunch to keep everyone fueled and happy.
Activities throughout the Nature Preserve – The preserve will host a special on-site activies for children.
Breakout Sessions –From Homeschooling 101 to high school transcripts and dual credit, our 12 breakout sessions provide clarity and direction.
Why this day matters:
In a world where homeschooling can sometimes feel isolating or overwhelming, coming together face-to-face reminds us that we are not alone. Whether you’re just starting out or have been homeschooling for years, this event is about more than curriculum, it's about connection. It's a chance to ask questions, share wisdom, and feel supported by a community that truly understands the path you’re walking.
A heartfelt thank you to Mequon Nature Preserve for graciously hosting us this year. As you enjoy the event, we encourage you to explore their breathtaking trails, nature-based educational programs, and year-round offerings for families. You can learn more at mequonnaturepreserve.org.
We can’t wait to welcome you for a day of inspiration, encouragement, and community, for homeschoolers, by homeschoolers.

Meet Your Host – Michele Romanshek
Hi, I’m Michele, a homeschooling mom, wellness advocate, and your host for this special event! Our family has been homeschooling for 7 years, and it’s been one of the most rewarding journeys we’ve taken together. Along the way, I’ve been incredibly blessed to find a group of supportive, like-minded homeschool friends who have encouraged and walked alongside our family through every season.
It’s that sense of community and connection that I hope to offer others through events like this. Whether you’re new to homeschooling or simply looking to connect, I want you to know you don’t have to do this alone. There is space for you here, and we’re so glad you’re joining us!

Meet Your Speaker – Jess Collier
Jess is a former elementary teacher turned homeschool mama of 5 boys, from 8 to 17 years old. She and her husband of 20 years live on a small little homestead with a flock of free ranging chickens and a big veggie garden to feed these growing teenage boys. The best words to describe her homeschool style would be bookish homeschooling: anything that can be learned through books should be! Her blog and shop Silo & Sage is full of resources to help other homeschool families fall in love with books, learn as a family, and cultivate HOME not school. You can find blog posts, free printables, learning resources, and her membership The Literary Lounge at http://siloandsage.com.
