ComicDrive is an Android app for reading comics, developed by Andreas Wiencke (Zuarinware). This page explains how the app handles your data.
In short: ComicDrive contains no advertising, no analytics and no tracking. The developer receives no data from you, and you need no account to use the app.
None. ComicDrive contains no advertising SDK, no analytics SDK and no crash reporting service. No usage data, device identifiers or personal information are transmitted to the developer. The app works without registration or an account.
To do its job, ComicDrive stores the following locally on your device only:
Library data such as comic titles, file paths and URIs, page counts, cover thumbnails, reading progress, bookmarks with notes, categories and favourites.
Your app settings, for example reading mode, page transitions and theme.
A cache of comic files and pages that were opened from cloud storage or from an OPDS server, so they can be displayed quickly and read offline. The cache has a size limit, replaces its oldest entries automatically and can be emptied at any time under Settings, Storage and Cache.
OPDS access data: if you add an OPDS catalogue such as Komga, Kavita or Calibre-Web, the server address is stored, together with the user name and password you entered if that server requires authentication. These credentials are stored on your device so that the app can reconnect.
All of this data remains on your device. Uninstalling the app deletes it.
ComicDrive only opens comic files that you select yourself, either through Android's Storage Access Framework (the system folder or file picker) or by opening a file from another app. The app requests read access only. It does not scan your device on its own and has no access to files outside the locations you chose.
If the folder or file you select is held by a cloud provider such as Google Drive, Dropbox or OneDrive, Android passes the file to ComicDrive through that provider's own app. Your use of that provider is subject to the provider's own privacy policy. ComicDrive has no access to your cloud account and stores no cloud passwords.
ComicDrive uses your internet connection only in the following cases:
To load a comic from a cloud storage location that you selected. The transfer is handled by the provider's app.
To reach an OPDS server that you configured yourself. Requests are sent only to the address you entered, together with your stored credentials if that server requires them. The developer runs no server and receives no copy of these requests.
Google Play services may display an in-app rating dialog. This is a Google function and is subject to the Google Privacy Policy at policies.google.com/privacy.
If you have Android's app backup switched on, Android copies ComicDrive's library database and settings, including any stored OPDS credentials, into the backup of your own Google account. This is done by the Android system, not by the app. On Android 9 and later these backups are end-to-end encrypted when your device has a screen lock. You can switch app backup off in your Android system settings.
ComicDrive collects no data and is rated as suitable for all ages. It only displays content that you supply yourself.
Since no personal data reaches the developer, there is no personal data held about you that could be disclosed, corrected or deleted. The data on your device is under your own control: empty the cache in the app settings, or uninstall the app to remove everything.

ComicDrive ist eine Android-App zum Lesen von Comics, entwickelt von Andreas Wiencke (Zuarinware). Diese Seite erklärt, wie die App mit deinen Daten umgeht.
Kurz gesagt: ComicDrive enthält keine Werbung, keine Analyse-Werkzeuge und kein Tracking. Der Entwickler erhält keine Daten von dir, und du brauchst kein Konto, um die App zu nutzen.
Keine. ComicDrive enthält kein Werbe-SDK, kein Analyse-SDK und keinen Absturzberichts-Dienst. Es werden keine Nutzungsdaten, Gerätekennungen oder personenbezogenen Daten an den Entwickler übertragen. Die App funktioniert ohne Registrierung und ohne Konto.
Damit die App ihre Aufgabe erfüllen kann, speichert ComicDrive Folgendes ausschließlich lokal auf deinem Gerät:
Bibliotheksdaten wie Comic-Titel, Dateipfade und URIs, Seitenzahlen, Cover-Miniaturbilder, Lesefortschritt, Lesezeichen mit Notizen, Kategorien und Favoriten.
Deine App-Einstellungen, zum Beispiel Lesemodus, Seitenübergänge und Design.
Einen Zwischenspeicher für Comic-Dateien und Seiten, die aus einem Cloud-Speicher oder von einem OPDS-Server geöffnet wurden, damit sie schnell angezeigt und offline gelesen werden können. Der Zwischenspeicher ist in der Größe begrenzt, ersetzt die ältesten Einträge automatisch und kann jederzeit unter Einstellungen, Speicher und Cache geleert werden.
OPDS-Zugangsdaten: Wenn du einen OPDS-Katalog wie Komga, Kavita oder Calibre-Web hinzufügst, werden die Serveradresse sowie der von dir eingegebene Benutzername und das Passwort gespeichert, falls der Server eine Anmeldung verlangt. Diese Zugangsdaten liegen auf deinem Gerät, damit die App die Verbindung erneut aufbauen kann.
Alle diese Daten bleiben auf deinem Gerät. Beim Deinstallieren der App werden sie gelöscht.
ComicDrive öffnet ausschließlich Comic-Dateien, die du selbst auswählst, entweder über das Storage Access Framework von Android (die Ordner- oder Dateiauswahl des Systems) oder indem du eine Datei aus einer anderen App öffnest. Die App fordert nur Leserechte an. Sie durchsucht dein Gerät nicht von sich aus und hat keinen Zugriff auf Dateien außerhalb der von dir gewählten Orte.
Liegt der ausgewählte Ordner oder die Datei bei einem Cloud-Anbieter wie Google Drive, Dropbox oder OneDrive, übergibt Android die Datei über die App dieses Anbieters an ComicDrive. Für deine Nutzung des Anbieters gilt dessen eigene Datenschutzerklärung. ComicDrive hat keinen Zugriff auf dein Cloud-Konto und speichert keine Cloud-Passwörter.
ComicDrive nutzt deine Internetverbindung nur in diesen Fällen:
Um einen Comic aus einem von dir ausgewählten Cloud-Speicher zu laden. Die Übertragung übernimmt die App des Anbieters.
Um einen OPDS-Server zu erreichen, den du selbst eingerichtet hast. Anfragen gehen ausschließlich an die von dir eingegebene Adresse, zusammen mit deinen gespeicherten Zugangsdaten, falls der Server sie verlangt. Der Entwickler betreibt keinen Server und erhält keine Kopie dieser Anfragen.
Google Play-Dienste können einen Bewertungsdialog in der App anzeigen. Das ist eine Funktion von Google, für die die Google-Datenschutzerklärung unter policies.google.com/privacy gilt.
Wenn du das App-Backup von Android eingeschaltet hast, kopiert Android die Bibliotheksdatenbank und die Einstellungen von ComicDrive, einschließlich gespeicherter OPDS-Zugangsdaten, in das Backup deines eigenen Google-Kontos. Das übernimmt das Android-System, nicht die App. Ab Android 9 sind diese Backups Ende-zu-Ende-verschlüsselt, sofern dein Gerät eine Displaysperre hat. Du kannst das App-Backup in den Android-Systemeinstellungen abschalten.
ComicDrive erhebt keine Daten und ist für alle Altersgruppen freigegeben. Die App zeigt ausschließlich Inhalte, die du selbst bereitstellst.
Da keine personenbezogenen Daten beim Entwickler ankommen, liegen dort auch keine Daten über dich, die herausgegeben, korrigiert oder gelöscht werden könnten. Die Daten auf deinem Gerät kontrollierst du selbst: Leere den Zwischenspeicher in den App-Einstellungen oder deinstalliere die App, um alles zu entfernen.
