Quiénes Somos

En Comedor Zarigüeyas creemos que una alimentación buena y digna es un derecho fundamental. Nuestro comedor comunitario nació en el año 2020 con el propósito de atender una necesidad básica en nuestra comunidad: asegurar que nuestros hijos y familias tengan acceso a alimentos nutritivos y de calidad.

El corazón de Comedor Zarigüeyas está formado por 30 madres comprometidas y solidarias, cuya principal motivación son los 60 hijos que hay entre todas. Día a día, las mamás preparan con amor y dedicación una comida diaria para nuestras familias. Todo este trabajo se logra con un presupuesto aproximado de $700 pesos al día, demostrando que, con voluntad, organización y unión, se pueden lograr grandes cosas.

A través de este esfuerzo colectivo, las mujeres de Comedor Zarigüeyas se han fortalecido y unido, creando lazos de solidaridad que trascienden el comedor. Juntas trabajamos para mejorar nuestra comunidad y garantizar a nuestros hijos una infancia saludable y llena de oportunidades.

El funcionamiento del comedor es posible gracias a la recolección de PET en calles y colonias cercanas, promoviendo al mismo tiempo el cuidado del medio ambiente y la conciencia ecológica. Cada botella recolectada representa un paso más hacia un futuro mejor para nuestros hijos y nuestras comunidades.

Gracias al apoyo de voluntarios, vecinos y colaboradores, seguimos trabajando incansablemente para asegurar un plato en la mesa de quienes más lo necesitan.

Who We Are

At Comedor Zarigüeyas, we believe that good, dignified food is a fundamental right. Our community kitchen was founded in 2020 with the purpose of addressing a basic need in our community: ensuring that our children and families have access to nutritious, high-quality food.

The heart of Comedor Zarigüeyas is made up of 30 committed and supportive mothers, whose main motivation is the 60 children they care for together. Day after day, these mothers prepare a daily meal with love and dedication for their families. All of this work is made possible with an approximate budget of $700 pesos per day, demonstrating that with will, organization, and unity, great things can be achieved.

Through this collective effort, the women of Comedor Zarigüeyas have grown stronger and more united, creating bonds of solidarity that extend beyond the kitchen itself. Together, we work to improve our community and ensure that our children grow up with a healthy childhood full of opportunities.

The operation of the community kitchen is made possible through the collection of PET bottles in nearby streets and neighborhoods, promoting environmental care and ecological awareness at the same time. Each bottle collected represents one more step toward a better future for our children and our communities.

Thanks to the support of volunteers, neighbors, and collaborators, we continue working tirelessly to ensure a plate of food reaches the table of those who need it most.
