DEETZ: Hello there Mr. Banner.
BANNER: Hello Officer Deetz.
DEETZ: Thank you very much for agree to do an interview. I'm sure this was not an easy decision.
BANNER: Most certainly it was not, haha.
DEETZ: So tell me, Mr. Banner, what is your relationship with the Murphy Enterprise Incorporated?
BANNER: So, in 2000, I had just turned 18 and I was super excited about potentially working for the MEI. It had been a life long dream of mine. So I went ahead and tried to get hired by the MEI. My first attempt was unsuccessful, but I got a call back from Jimmy McCracken saying that the Video Game Department was looking for some employees. Now, I knew some of how to code, as I took some classes in High School. I informed him that I was about to go into college, but he simply laughed and said I was guaranteed a spot and that the MEI would help pay for college tuition, regardless of the University. So I took the opportunity and studied to be a video game developer and programmer, to help the company and because I was invested in it. When I graduated in 2004, that's when the trouble began. Please stop me if I am rambling too much. In 2003, the company tried something they hadn't before, and they called it The Great Merge.
*rustles papers, reveals newspaper from 2003*
DEETZ: That was in the papers that year. I remember reading it being about the Video Game and Arcade Departments merging.
BANNER: That was a lie Mr. McCracken came up with. The real purpose of The Great Merge was to take to random timelords, which I don't remember the name of, to be merged into one large timelord that would allow the MEI to expand into the multiverse. Mr. McCracken did this because, at the time, he was starting to run out of room to expand the business, and was still invested in the idea of the restaurant. I wouldn't go after him for a thing like that though, he's a great guy deep down, he was just experimenting.Â
Regardless, the experiment went wrong and we created Evil Chronos, who took over and ruled the Department for many years. When our first game, Sonic.EXE, was finished, it was because of him that we made it. We even had to explain that to the copyright court that it wasn't our fault. They let us off with a warning. Evil Chronos was part of the reason I left the company in 2011, as he held the Video Game Department until Jack Sheuay saved himself from Sonic.EXE. Jack still works for the company, despite being as old as I am. After I left, I was having a hard time finding a job, simply because I had the MEI NDA over my head, and I will until 2071.
DEETZ: Why 2071? That's a long time.
BANNER: The MEI NDA expires 60 years after you are fired, you quit, or you retire from the MEI, even if it doesn't make sense.
DEETZ: That's important for us to know, because the MEI NDA lasting for so long isn't normal.
BANNER: I know. It was designed to protect Mr. McCracken from getting into trouble. Not that he had shady business practices, but sometimes there was stuff that should stay back. The real person who uses it is the current CEO, A. Sheuay, who stole the company from Mr. McCracken, leaving them to buy back the Storage Facility. The MEI owned the Storage Facility for the longest time, but they had sold it to a private investor who would retain the property for himself. However, the private investor was quick to sell it back to the Mr. McCracken and Dr. Kelvin.
DEETZ: And how do you know this?
BANNER: I'm good friends with Dr. Kelvin. We went out for drinks just last week.
DEETZ: Interesting. Go on.
BANNER: They took the facility back and renamed it to its proper name. Of course, A. Sheuay was pissed, so he made a deal with Mr. McCracken which is how we got in this mess in the first place.
DEETZ: *after a brief pause* And what made you wanna start that blog and post the findings, even though it was going against you NDA?
BANNER: People need to know that the MEI, specifically the current CEO, is a scumbag who overworks his employees and refuses to give them breaks or time off when they need it. I need people like you, Officer Deetz, so see that information and take action upon it.
DEETZ: And where are you getting this information?
BANNER: When I left, I got take with me my MEI issued computer they gave me as I had purchased it from them in return for my last paycheck. However, in 2011, the Company gives us 2 years before the ID stops working. I, being smart, had copied it over to another virtual machine, but what didn't get moved wasn't lost, and my ID never stopped working. By 2013, the company was starting to struggle to stay afloat, so I'm sure that was not the first thing on their minds. So I post things to help spread the word. Everything still syncs to my computer, so all the new documents are there.
The reason I don't post anything about pre-A. Sheuay is because 1. Most of that info can be found and would be shared with you, and 2. There's not a lot that shows any kind of incriminating stuff about Mr. McCracken or Dr. Kelvin. The only things I could find related to The Great Merge and even that's a stretch because he didn't overwork anyone to pull it off.
DEETZ: And you have YouTube video exposing them as well, I hear?
BANNER: That one expose the Video Game Department, yes.
DEETZ: Well, Mr. Banner! I appricate you time here. Thank you again for doing this interview.
BANNER: Thank you for trying to assist in taking down the most feared CEO in all the world.
DEETZ: Of course.
