ColorForge Lab (“the App”) is developed as a privacy-first tool for designers and developers. This Privacy Policy explains how your information is handled when you use the App.

By using ColorForge Lab, you agree to the practices described in this policy.

1. Information We Do Not Collect

We do not:

• Collect any personally identifiable information (such as your name, email, or address) from within the App
  
  

• Track your usage across apps or websites
  
  

• Use third-party analytics SDKs
  
  

• Collect location data
  
  

• Access your contacts, calendar, camera, microphone, or photos, except when explicitly triggered by standard OS features (e.g., sharing a palette export)
  
  

The App is designed to work completely offline.

2. Data Stored on Your Device

ColorForge Lab stores certain data locally on your device only, such as:

• Color presets, palettes, and related metadata (names, tags, notes, timestamps)
  
  

• App settings and preferences (theme, options, etc.)
  
  

This data is saved using local storage on your device and is not automatically synced to any server controlled by us.

If you uninstall the App or clear its data, this locally stored information will be deleted from your device.

3. No Account, No Cloud Sync

ColorForge Lab does not require you to create an account and does not provide any cloud sync service by default.
We do not have access to your palettes, presets, or any other in-app data.

If, in the future, online features are added (e.g., optional cloud backup), they will be clearly explained and this policy will be updated accordingly.

4. Optional Exports and Sharing

The App may offer features such as:

• Exporting palettes or presets (e.g., CSV, text, or image)
  
  

• Sharing content via your device’s share sheet
  
  

When you choose to export or share, the resulting file or data is handled by the apps or services you select (email, messaging, cloud drive, etc.). Their use of your data is governed by their own privacy policies, not this one.

5. Children’s Privacy

ColorForge Lab is not directed toward children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information through external channels (e.g., email support), please contact us so we can delete it.

6. Third-Party Services

The App itself does not integrate third-party advertising SDKs or analytics SDKs.

If this changes in the future, we will update this Privacy Policy and, where required, request your consent.

7. Data Security

Because your app data stays on your device, its security primarily depends on your device’s operating system and any security features you use (screen lock, encryption, backups, etc.).

We recommend keeping your device updated and protected with a secure passcode or biometric lock.

8. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. Significant changes may also be noted in the app description or in-app.

Your continued use of ColorForge Lab after any changes means you accept the updated Policy.
