Join us the days leading up to ISTELive immersing yourself in inspired leadership; learning, networking and adding to your PLC! Attendees include teacher leaders, ed tech trailblazers, building leaders, teaching and learning innovators, district leaders, higher education faculty and administrators, renown authors and speakers, and thought leaders, dreamers and doers from across the education landscape. This exciting leadership event is hosted by Colorado ASCD Affiliate Leaders Cynthia Jacquet, Melissa Steiner and Nancy White plus our ASCD+ISTE Managing Director of Strategic Partnerships Alexis Menocal Harrigan!
Arrive midday Wednesday and jump right into a Colorado ASCD Gallery Gathering and a Speed Learning session! Dinner is at the Ivywild School suite of restaurants followed by an evening walk through the Garden of the Gods! Thursday is a full day of breakout sessions, networking activities and a Summit Challenge sure to level up your leadership game with bragging rights you can take home with you! And after a Thursday night on the town, Friday morning delivers Adventure Learning so you can get to the ideas and strategies you need for your important work! At noon we depart for Denver for ISTELive, and if you're an ASCD+ISTE affiliate leader you roll right into the Mile High City on schedule for our affiliate leaders meeting Saturday, June 22nd!
Nestled at the base of Pikes Peak, Colorado Springs is a breathtaking setting for our summer Meetup, visiting the Air Force Academy in Monument, the U.S. Olympics Headquarters downtown and the Garden of the Gods! Other only-in-Colorado-Springs sights to see are the Old Colorado City Historic District, the Cheyenne Mountain Zoo, the Space Foundation Headquarters and Discovery Center, the Air Force Academy Planetarium, Helen Hunt Falls, Seven Falls and Red Rock Canyon Open Space for trails and hiking, Manitou Springs Incline for daring extreme hiking and (of course) Pikes Peak!
