So I was trying to create a platformer game using HaxeFlixel, but I ran into a problem: after a FlxSprite object's x value passes 648, FlxG.collide doesn't seem to work at all. Here is a gif of the problem. As you can see, it works fine when the player's x is < 648, but when it becomes greater the FlxG.collision stops working.

The level is made of objects of the class Wall which extends FlxSprite with the only difference being that it's constructor loads the wall graphic and sets its immovable property to true. FlxG.collide is being called with player as the first argument and a FlxGroup (containing the walls) as the second argument. I'm not sure that it matters but the FlxState's super.update is being called before FlxG.collide.

A tighter mesh leads to a better solution. A multipipe on all edges of your colliders can be used to improve the situation on the edges. Generally speaking collisions with sharp edges are problematic. You can see how some vertices fall through and do not stay outside the collider. It is much better with a less sharp edge:

I switch the "Collide on Create" to "Strict" mode in MASH_Placer, but the instances also override when I paint. The situation also occur when I use Collide brush. So , may I need set some parameters such as collide radius ? I don't find where to set this value. How to make this collide mode work ?

I had the same problem here, until some minutes ago, did not find the solution, and was thing it was a bug on my .ma file, because i did try in a new file and it worked. So, after ear the scale default set for collision been 1, i figure out the solution. The problem is not on the scale been 1,1,1 and freezed. The problem is that Mash consider the collision area, been 1 by 1 by 1, for all cases. (this multiplied by the Random Scale from Placer tool. So, my instanced objects was to big, before i do mash on it. To solve it, i only needed to scale down all instanced objects to an world area of 1,1. I could do it easily by creating a new cube on it default size (1,1,1). Then on place too Random Scale, put it in the size i want it. I hope this helps. Don't forget to freeze and bake pivot after all changes...

The challenge is this:

All objects are rigid - that means they can collide but not changing their shapes.

The red curves are offset from the black curves.

The red curve in the photos cannot touch each other. The red curves can touch the boundary in blue.

The black curves cannot touch the boundary.

The black curves and their offset twin (in red) should always move together.

My second attempt is to create a shape that include both inner curve and offset curve then extract the points of inner curve and include them in other goal such as insideMesh or curve point inclusion. This of course did not work either because the two goals act independently from each other. But I still include here as food for thought.

Hi @DanielPiker. I tried coupling the curve collide with other K2 goals and it seem that they are working independently. The curves collide and move with their frames but if their points have to move due to other forces they don\t move along. Why is that? And is there a way to couple the curve collide with the rest?

The book begins with Andy offering context to those of us who are workaholics or who struggle with prioritizing the demands of work with the needs of home. Essentially, he wants us to understand that when we choose to work long hours, even for good purposes, we are putting work at higher priority than spending time with loved ones. And the message to those loved ones resonates at a deeper level than we might realize.

Andy proposes two solutions. First, honest communication. Ask family members how they feel about your work schedule or when you miss their events. Second, action. Make a deliberate and calculated schedule change that glorifies God by emphasizing family. I should note that Andy focuses the book mostly on the impact time away at work has on those closest to us, but it also has a significant impact on our service to God. Andy does spend a good amount of time explaining that we are to honor God with our time, but in this book, the focal point of that desire is expressed through interaction with loved ones.

But his conclusions are powerful, as are some of the examples in the book. I was shocked to learn that in his own life as a church planter, Andy committed to spending no more than 45 hours per week at work. In fact, I can hardly fathom that he was able to build such a strong ministry with that sort of time commitment.

While some cases may focus on using social media to advance the interests of a business or brand, this case is best positioned as a springboard for exploring social media as it may coexist with or be embedded in organizational life. The case depicts a challenge for a young direct report, a relatively inexperienced manager, and the manager's supervisor when the direct report reveals a passionate political opinion on Facebook and unwittingly links it to sensitive company information. The case discussion can (1) surface diverse student views on the uses of social media as they relate to work life; (2) encourage analysis of and decision-making in the context of a tricky multilevel managerial situation involving social media use, company nondisclosure policies, and communicating guidelines; and (3) consider how issues raised in the discussion may inform students' own choices as users of social media and as managers of people who use these channels. Larger managerial, organizational, and corporate communication issues that are complicated by employee social media use may arise in this class discussion, including: managing professional boundaries between levels of employees in an organization; the porous boundaries that exist between internal and external communication; and gray areas among private, personal, professional, political, and public speech. Excerpt UVA-BC-0267 Nov. 9, 2018 Worlds Collide: Work, Life, and Social Media Jenny Peters, assistant director of the Schools Assistance Contract at Atek International (Atek), sat at her computer at 8:00 a.m. on a cold Monday morning in February 2017, trying to slow her racing pulse. The prior afternoon, she had checked her Facebook account and discovered one of her direct reports, Richard Harley, had posted some sensitive company information to Facebook over the weekend that his friends, including several people in the company, had seen. Harley had even tagged her in the posts so that they showed up on her Facebook News Feed. She felt awful but didn't know how to respond, or what the consequences would be for herself, Harley, or the company. Peters then logged into her work email and saw a note from her supervisor, Mike Dupree, who said that he had also seen Harley's Facebook posts, and would see her at 10:00 a.m. Monday morning in his office. Peters tried to remain calm, but she had no idea what to do next. Atek International Atek, a government contractor, was cofounded in 1967 by Cal Sullivan, a Korean War veteran, and four former federal government employees. Over time, government contracting became a very lucrative business. By 2017, Atek was publicly traded and boasted 6,000 employees working in over 45 cities around the world and a global headquarters in Northern Virginia. Atek took a broad-brush approach to government support, pursuing contracts in the areas of government, education, energy, health, security, public safety, and social programming. The company provided comprehensive support including program management, business process, data analytics, cybersecurity, strategic planning, marketing strategy, and public relations. . . .

Team members must learn to collide, to work together differently. Collision of ideas and perspectives fosters the emergence of unconventional collaboration and new solutions to tough challenges. Paradoxically, by bringing energy and co-creativity, creative collision can help destruct silos and create greater team cohesion and commitment to shared results.

New to Affinity photo and it's workflow. In teaching myself how it works I made up a couple of compositions using a photograph of a scale model I had just completed and photographed against a white card. I then took some photos of an LED "glow" moon to create the renegade planet that destroys the earth. I then created a more generic 50's space scene usingthe same model and technique. didn't spend a lot of time on it as I'm just learning but very pleased with the results and how easy AF was to work with.

I created Venture PR & Marketing as a trading name/entity to allow me to undertake some close family commitments while also still working freelance with some clients, and once those commitments resolved themselves last year I took my full-time, permanent and remote working role at Corinium. It enabled me to continue my career, keep my skills updated and also continue earning some money while also undertaking my family commitments. e24fc04721
