The mission of the Organization is to foster and promote the sport of curling among college curlers in Central New York. The purposes of the Organization are to teach new collegiate curlers about the sport of curling, improve curling skills for all members, and to compete locally, regionally, and nationally with other college curlers. We are open to all full time undergraduate or graduate students enrolled at a regionally accredited, degree-granting, non-profit college or university located in the United States or its territories. We also accept members who wish to support our mission.
Meeting times:
Fall Semester: Sundays, 5:00-7:00pm
Spring Semester: Sundays, 4:30-6:30pm
Season: October 16, 2022-March 5, 2023
Instructors: M.J. Walsh & Roger Rowlett, USCA Certified Level II Instructors, Becky Schewe, Vicky Sheardown
What to bring: Wear clean, warm, flexible, loose-fitting clothes (think sweats, not blue jeans). Bring a pair of athletic shoes (sneakers or tennis shoes) with clean soles or a pair of curling shoes (see below). Please do not ride/drive to the club in the shoes that you will curl in, and either change into your pants at the club or roll-up your pant legs until you get inside. Clean ice is good ice! Brushes will be provided or can be purchased. Grippers and sliders can be borrowed from our host club during Sunday practice.
