To prevent porch piracy, all packages are sent to the main office. Once the packages are in, they are alphabetically organized. The community assistants will start to log the packages in an Excel spreadsheet, and text the residents that have received the packages. Perishable packages need to be called on immediately. Every night, the packages that have not been picked up will be locked in the managers office.
Payments can be taken over the phone from current residents or past residents. Make sure you repeat the card number provided, receive the CVV code, expiration date, and zip code. Once the payment is ran, the employee will put the name of the resident and the unit number at the top of the receipt. The receipt then gets deposited into the Financial Specialist's drop box.
When in the office, answering the phones in a pleasant and professional manner is crucial to good customer service. There can be many scenarios over the phone that may have the employee think on their feet, and assess the situation appropriately. When communicating with the residents in person, make sure to have a pleasant attitude and try to help the resident the solve any the problem.
