Integrating Yoga at the Barre Level 1 Certification Course

Goals and Objectives of the Course:

In this 6-hour, one-day, Speciality Certification you will learn how to integrate yoga postures into a ballet barre fitness class. Leave with an understanding of how asana (yoga postures) can complement foundational barre fitness class components. Create and practice class sequences that integrate both yoga and barre into cohesive lesson plans.

About the Instructor:

Stefania has been teaching yoga since 2010, and has been barre certified since 2012. She is the owner of and lead continuing education teacher at Collegeville Yoga Bar.

The Aquarian Teacher course is the KRI Level 1 Certification program in Kundalini Yoga as taught by Yogi Bhajan®. Through this transformational 6 month program, you will gain an understanding of the basics of the science of Kundalini Yoga and develop the skills to instruct students in Kundalini Yoga Kriyas and Meditations.

The 220 hour course includes 180 hours of classroom instruction. The curriculum topics include Teaching Kundalini Yoga Postures, Kriyas & Meditations, Yogic Philosophy & the Origin of Kundalini Yoga, Yogic & Western Anatomy, Humanology & the Yogic Lifestyle, The Role of a Kundalini Yoga Teacher and Practicum Teaching. Yogi Bhajan, Master of Kundalini Yoga, arrived in the United States in 1968 with a stated purpose: “I have come to create Teachers, not to gather disciples.” The Aquarian Teacher Program has trained thousands of KRI Certified Kundalini Yoga Teachers who are spreading The Teachings of Yogi Bhajan worldwide.

About the Instructors:

Your course is primarily taught by Siri Neel Kaur. Siri Neel Kaur began practicing yoga in 1968 and has spent many years studying meditation and spirituality under the guidance and instruction of Kundalini Master Yogi Bhajan who she met in 1970. Following his advice, in 1974 she opened a to open a center in south central Pennsylvania. She has taught thousands of people of all ages the science of Kundalini Yoga. She is a gifted holistic healer and counselor who now lives in Northern New Mexico where she served as the Program Director for KRI Immersion Level 1 Program and continues to work as the Immersion Coordinator of the Trainer in Training Program. In addition to Siri Neel Kaur, Padmani Kaur, Associate Trainer, returns to Pennsylvania and Ek Ong Kaar Kaur, Associate Trainer, will bring her unique knowledge including her highly respected poetic translation of Jaapji to the course along with other guest trainers.

Tuition Details:

The tuition covers all the classroom hours including vegetarian snacks, required books, guest speakers' fees and association dues. Transportation and lodging are not included. Within the year students are required to attend 20 Kundalini Yoga classes taught by certified Instructors and a one day White Tantric Yoga course, costs for these classes are extra.
