No question in U.S. History has caused more controversy than, "who killed JFK and why?"
Theory ONE: The official conclusion of the U.S. Government is that Lee Harvey Oswald killed Kennedy by himself without any others being involved. Vincent Bugliosi champions this theory
The complexities involved in accepting this theory are abundant, and one could take years exploring them.
The biggest problem with the theory is probably the "magic bullet" problem. All agree that Oswald only had time to make three shots. One shot missed and nicked an officer on foot. One shot hit the president in the head and killed him. That leaves only one more shot.
But there were seven more wounds in Kennedy's body and in the body of the man sitting in front of Kennedy, Governor Connelly. If we accept the official conclusion we have to accept that one bullet made all the other wounds.
Consider this presentation of the magic bullet theory.
If you are persuaded by the problem, then you must admit a conspiracy. But a conspiracy of what people? Badge man.
Theory TWO: President Johnson believed it was a Communist/Castro conspiracy. Gus Russo, a modern day historian, agrees.
Theory THREE: The director who produced JFK (the magic bullet scene above), Oliver Stone, is convinced that it was a conspiracy, orchestrated by the CIA.
There are many other theories: the driver did it, Kennedy faked his death, his wife's boyfriend, interterrestrial aliens, etc.
