Hello! My name is Byington Kua and I'm an experienced teacher. I've been tutoring and teaching high school mathematics for 10 years now. Recently, due to the unprecedented challenges brought about by the COVID-19 pandemic, I've decided to bring my teaching to you all virtually, via an online interactive educational platform.
As we have seen this year, the pandemic has literally changed the way we live, work and study. Online and distance learning has become the norm - in high school and universities alike - and is here to stay. Despite its challenges, many have experienced the benefits of online learning, such as studying from the comfort of our home, accessible anywhere, and very affordable fees.
Video conferencing technologies and online collaboration tools have enabled the replication of face-to-face teaching, and in some cases, they are more effective. I'll be exploring various online educational tools to improve your learning experience. About Me
About Me
I am a passionate teacher specialising in high school mathematics. I received my Bachelor of Arts (Major in English Studies, Minor in TESL) with Distinction and have been teaching and tutoring high school students since 2012. I had the privilege of tutoring students to prepare for their PT3 examination, SPM examination, and UEC examination (Unified Examination Certificate).
My teaching approach focuses on student learning, in particular in a small-group setting where students can learn better. I also offer one-to-one tutoring for students who require dedicated and personal time for their studies. I enjoy teaching and it gives me much satisfaction when students acquire knowledge and do well in their studies. I am excited to embark on the journey of online learning which opens up many opportunities and possibilities for teachers and students.
