👏 Introduction

My research investigates how fluency in a second language (L2) influences hemispheric asymmetry and interhemispheric interaction during visual word recognition. I plan to study the effects of repeated memorization of L2 words on parafoveal word recognition by analyzing behavioral responses within a visual half-field presentation paradigm. I expect to observe distinct patterns of right visual field advantage and bilateral redundancy gain depending on prior word memorization experience, suggesting that hemispheric processing may vary with language proficiency.
