๐ Introduction
My research investigates the interplay between the two hemispheres in the semantic processing of visual words. Building on the findings of Kim and Nam (2023), which revealed asymmetrical semantic processing across the hemispheres, I am investigating how the hemispheres interact cooperatively when processing ambiguous words (e.g., homonyms, polysemous words). This is being examined using a behavioral measure of bilateral redundancy gain. I have designed a series of behavioral experiments employing a visual half-field presentation paradigm.ย
