👏 Introduction

I am investigating how working memory capacity relates to hemispheric asymmetry and interhemispheric interaction during visual word recognition. Using an operation span task and a lateralized lexical decision task, I examine whether working memory capacity is associated with the right visual field advantage and the benefits of bilateral presentation. I hypothesize that individuals with higher working memory capacity will benefit more from bilateral presentation when distinguishing words from similar nonwords is difficult.
