Network Localized Granger Causality & Shannon-Theoretic Limits on Auditory Attention Decoding

Behtash Babadi, University of Maryland

Abstract

In this talk, I will give an overview of a new directional functional connectivity method called Network Localized Granger Causality (NLGC) and showcase its utility in analyzing MEG data during difficult listening as well as post-stroke recovery. I will also give an update on establishing Shannon-theoretic limits on the performance of auditory attention decoding systems, a collaborative topic that was initiated during the CogHear 2022 group discussions.
