At a glance: Keurig K-Elite vs K-Supreme
The K-Elite and K-Supreme both make use of K-Cups to produce coffee.
Both these Keurig coffee makers are also compatible with pre-ground coffee.
This way you can further customize the taste of your coffee to your own liking, pre-ground coffee tastes best and gives you the most flavor.
Although we would recommend starting with regular K-Cup pods if you aren't an experienced Keurig user.
If you want to try out ground coffee with your Keurig machines then keep in mind that you first need to purchase the My K-Cup Reusable filter.
This filter lets you pick out your own ground coffee to make delicious coffee, the good thing is that it's reusable making it a one-time purchase.

Coffee makers with a lot of settings can be overwhelming for beginners to control.
The more buttons and functions there are, the more confusing it is to figure them all out.
Keurigs, however, are always praised for having the easiest to use coffee makers - and that includes the K-Supreme and K-Elite.
They only have a few clearly labeled buttons on the top.
All you need to do with these coffee makers is putting in your preferred K-Cup or coffee grounds and press just a few buttons and watch how it speedily makes you a delicious cup of coffee.
Have you ever had a cup of coffee that feels weak?
It's very disappointing, failing to meet any of the expectations that you had when brewing that cup.
These times are over because the K-Supreme and K-Elite both offer you brew strength settings.
This also is a great function because you might want a stronger cup of coffee in the morning and a less strong cup of coffee in the evening.
In the mood for a stronger cup of coffee?
Before brewing, just select the "Strong" button on either of these coffee makers, and watch them prepare you a strong and robust flavored cup of coffee.
Color options can be unimportant for some people but when you think about it a coffee machine really is an integral part of your kitchen.
Do you value a lot of color options when purchasing a new coffee maker?
Then the K-Elite and K-Supreme might be exactly what you are looking for.
Both the K-Elite and K-Supreme come in multiple type of colors.
The difference in this regard is that each one is available in a different number of colors, with the K-Elite offering one more color option when compared to the K-Supreme.
This might not be deal breaker for anyone but if you value a lot of color options to match your kitchen it might be important for you.
Iced coffee is one of the most trendy and famous beverages in the world, opening up a whole new world of refreshment and tasting coffee.
If you're a fan of iced coffee then you will be delighted to hear that both the K-Elite and K-Supreme are capable of producing delicious iced coffee right from home.
Most times people associate iced coffee with the expensive Starbucks or any local coffee shop.
This won't be the case when you have either the K-Elite or K-Supreme, making them both perfect coffee makers during the summer times due to producing refreshing iced coffee with one simple press of a button.
How does making iced coffee work?
Just put some ice cubes in your cup prior to brewing, select the iced coffee button on the Keurig and watch it brew you some delicious iced coffee. It really can't be easier.
We have probably all been there before, we leave our coffee on after using it.
You might be in a rush and need to go to work or you just simply forgot and find out hours later that your coffee maker is still on.
This is annoying and you might even be surprised by the energy bill later.
Next to costing you money it's also quite damaging for your coffee maker to leave it on.
With the auto-off function on both these Keurig coffee makers you're safe from this happening.
They will automatically shut themselves off after a specific time so you won't have to worry about forgetting it.
Something that the K-Elite and K-Supreme both have in common is the removable drip tray, just like the water tank you can remove the drip tray very easily to clean it.
If you spill some of your coffee the drip tray is sure to catch it and when it needs cleaning it just takes a few wipes.
There is another feature though, when removing the drip tray, you create enough space to fit any travel mug of up to 7 inches tall.
We really like this feature and use it a lot, just brew some K-Cup coffee in your travel mug when you're planning to go to work or go for a hike.
If you have a coffee maker that only produces the same size cup of coffee it can hold you back in some ways, it can lead to leftovers or maybe you want a bigger cup of coffee without having to brew multiple cups.
Having a coffee machine that produces more than one size beverages is an all-around great feature to have on any coffee maker.
You will be happy to hear that both the K-Supreme and K-Elite let you brew multiple sizes of coffee.
However, if you want the most possible sizes that you can brew the K-Elite is the better option.
The K-Elite gives you one more option in terms of the size of your beverage, the sizes that are available on the K-Elite are; 4,6,8,10 and 12 ounces.
The K-Supreme still offers you multiple beverage sizes to pick from; 6,8,10 and 12 ounces.
So, the difference between the Keurig K-Elite and K-Supreme is that the K-Elite offers you the option of brewing a 4-ounce sized beverage, this is great for when you need a smaller cup of coffee.
To a lot of people this is a very important category, having a bigger sized water tank means you can make more cups of coffee before having to refill.
Although you will probably only need a bigger sized water tank when sharing your coffee maker with more than 2 other people.
There is again a difference between these coffee makers when it comes to water tank size.
The K-Elite uses a 75-ounce water tank, making it bigger than the water tank of the K-Supreme.
A 75-ounce water tank gets you about 8 to 9 cups of coffee before having to go for a refill.
The K-Supreme makes use of a 66-ounce water tank, it's smaller when compared to the K-Elite but it still gets you about 7 cups of coffee before having to refill your water tank.
The K-Elite lets you make about one extra cup of coffee before having to refill, this can make a big difference when expecting to share your coffee maker with a lot of people.
Some people like to have the most control over their coffee, when it comes to sizing or even temperature, it's nice to customize your coffee exactly to your needs.
It's clear that the Keurig K-Elite is designed with customizability in mind.
The K-Elite lets you customize the temperature of your cup of coffee by letting you pick anything from 187-192 degrees.
This is a great function if you're for example in a hurry for work and don't have the time to wait on your coffee to cool off.
The K-Supreme has no features for adjusting the temperature of your beverage.
The K-Supreme has a feature that is unique to any other Keurig coffee makers; an adjustable water tank.
The water tank can be adjusted into two different positions.
One position is on the back of the machine and the other position is on the back of the machine.
So, what is the use of an adjustable water tank?
It gives you flexibility, which is always great to have on any coffee maker.
If you for example don't have wide counters you might want the water tank on the side of the machine.
On the other hand, moving the water tank to the back of the machine is great when your counter is crowded with other appliances.
The MultiStream technology is unique to the K-Supreme and is in our opinion the best feature of the K-Supreme.
Traditional Keurig coffee makers pierce the K-Cups pods with one needle that dispenses water through the cup.
The K-Supreme uses several needles that pierce the top of the K-Cup.
Multiple streams of water allow the brewer to reach all the grounds in the K-Cup, this will lead to a more flavorful and aromatic experience than you might get from a traditional Keurig coffee maker.
So, now that we have described the similarities and differences between these two Keurig coffee makers, the question still remains of which one is the best for you?
To answer this question, you will have to think about what you are looking for in a coffee maker to know which of these Keurigs will fit you best.
One of the first and main things to think about is how many people are going to use your coffee maker?
You might be in a scenario where you're buying a Keurig coffee maker to be shared by the whole family or a group of friends.
If this is the case, we recommend you get a coffee maker with a larger water tank and the most beverage sizes to choose from.
This way you won't have to worry about multiple people using your Keurig.
Although there also is a scenario where you are looking for a Keurig coffee maker and are not planning on sharing it with anyone, maybe just 1 or 2 people.
You might be a student or not have a lot of space, in these scenarios it's nice to save you the most space possible.
For these people we would recommend the Keurig K-Supreme, it has a smaller water tank when compared to the K-Elite but still lets you make enough cups of coffee to sustain a small group of coffee lovers.
The adjustable water tank of the K-Supreme lets you adjust the coffee maker in different positions, this is nice if you are looking to save as much counter space as possible.
Do you want a coffee maker that produces stronger flavored coffee?
Once again, the K-Supreme is a better pick for you because of the MultiStream technology.
It extracts more coffee grounds when compared to other Keurig coffee makers like the K-Elite.
Buy the Keurig K-Supreme if you want a coffee maker that produces more bold flavored coffee and can make use of an adjustable water tank to save counter space.
Although we would recommend buying the K-Elite for anyone who wants more control over the brewing options.
It gives you more choice in options when it comes to the size of your beverage, the K-Elite also lets you control the temperature of your beverage.
The water tank will let you brew more cups in a row when compared to the K-Supreme.
