The continent of Teyvat contains a vast expanse of regions to explore and stellar moments to be had. It is the primary setting of Genshin Impact. In total, Teyvat is home to seven primary regions, those being:
Mondstadt. CR: Genshin Impact miHoYo Co., Ltd.
Mondstadt: the city of freedom, song, and anemo.
Liyue Harbour: the city of contracts and geo.
Inazuma: the islands of thunder, and eternity, electro.
Sumeru: the land of wisdom and the oasis of knowledge, dendro.
Fontaine: the region of justice and technological advancement, hydro.
Natlan: the fiery nation of war, pyro.
Snezhnaya: the region of snow and intense cold, home to the villainous Fatui organisation. A land now devoid of love, and with cryo as its element.
Many in Teyvat regard the continent as their entire world, but beyond the domain of the Seven Archons lies the mysterious Dark Sea. The regions and wastelands of the world that house the remains of a fallen empire, the ancient Seelie Empire. The gods that lost the Archon War fled to these lands, where their ghostly remains linger.
The Dark Sea may seem like just a region, but it is in fact a blanket term for all oceans and land masses not under the domain of the Seven Archons. Though not every landmass in the Dark Sea is necessarily a dangerous wasteland, human life does not seem to exist in these regions anymore. Be wary of these mysterious lands, who knows what secrets they hold in their depths…

“The coastal nations of Teyvat refer to the region beyond the protection of The Seven as the Dark Sea. It is said many defeated gods refused to live under the new order of The Seven, so they fled to remote islands and became evil gods. However, their powers came from the same source as Rex Lapis, separate from this all-devouring darkness.”
From the description of the Bit of Aerosiderite, which tells of the fate that befell the gods that lost the Archon War.
