Various hints and comments throughout the game seem to heavily suggest the possibility that fate is predetermined for everyone in Genshin Impact. The astrologist, Mona Megistus, uses her practice of Hydromancy to read people’s fate. The people of Sumeru are also known for being able to read the stars.
According to Mona, the stars of Teyvat’s sky can “only display the fates and truths of ‘this world”. According to the ancient murals in Inazuma’s Tsurumi island, wisdom is concealed in the star fragments. What exactly are these truths? Only time can tell as you make your way on this journey.
