Codify Kids

Codify Kids! is a coding club for 7-10 year olds that teaches children the basics of coding that they will need in the future. All donations will help fund meals for kids in the area, with our partner https://feedingourkids.org/

For 3 hours a day for 2 days in our current camp, we will cover sports in the coding world. This camp will teach your child how computer science has even been integrated into sports. Be it Little League or The NFL, computer science has become extremely vital in all aspects. Your child will learn how to use simple code blocks to program soccer games, sport commentators, touchdown celebrations and more. They will leave the two day camp knowing the basics of scratch coding and with tons of learning they can use in their own experiences.

Dates : Feb 9-10, Feb 23-24(five days) (Fall schedule- coming soon)

Time : 9 am to 12 pm

Payment: Suggested donation $40 , and higher donations helps feed more kids. $100 feeds one kid for a year. They are trying to raise $8000 more towards their $20,000 goal

The Gurus

Shreya Sachdev

She is a fourteen year old(almost) rising freshman . She participated in the First Tech Competition and her robotics team, CTRL-Y, got into the semi-finals despite it being their first year together. Shreya is one of the main coders in the team. Throughout the season CTRL-Y helped out the younger teams of the First Lego League competition in coding, with their robots, and running the event. She has used Java Script, basic HTML and CSS, Scratch, and is learning Python. She is a budding poet and is also https://safesitter.org/ certified. She has experience working with kids at Camp Invention . She has helped organize fundraising earlier for the soup kitchen by collecting 100lb of food and 12 backpacks and volunteers regularly.

Aryan Sachdev

Aryan has just finished his first year of middle school and who loves playing Fortnite(Who doesnt!!) and tennis . He has had a lot of experience in coding, including LEGO Robotics and many other coding activities using scratch. In LEGO Robotics, his rookie team got the Champions award and got into State. At state , his team got the rookie award.
