## 2. About the App — Important Notice
**Codexa is a fully offline, static application.** It does not connect to the internet, does not communicate with any server or backend, and does not transmit any data outside of your device. All data generated by your use of the App (progress, quiz scores, bookmarks, settings) is stored exclusively on your device using your device's local storage.

We do not collect, transmit, store, or have access to any of the following:
- Personal identification information (name, email, phone number, address)
- Location data
- Device identifiers (IMEI, advertising ID)
- Camera, microphone, or contact data
- Financial or payment information
- Biometric data
- Any usage analytics or crash reports transmitted off-device
- IP addresses
### 3.2 Information Stored Locally on Your Device
The App stores the following data **only on your device** using Android's `SharedPreferences` mechanism. This data never leaves your device:

You can delete all of this data at any time by using the **"Reset Progress"** option in the App's Settings screen, or by uninstalling the App.

## 4. Permissions Requested
Codexa requests **no special Android permissions**. It does not request access to:
- Camera
- Microphone
- Contacts
- Location (fine or coarse)
- Storage / Files
- Phone state
- Notifications (unless explicitly added in a future update, which will be disclosed)
The App runs entirely without requiring any permissions beyond the default permissions Android grants to all installed apps.

## 5. Third-Party Services
Codexa does not integrate with any third-party services, SDKs, advertising networks, analytics platforms, or social login providers.
We do **not** use:
- Google Analytics / Firebase Analytics
- Google AdMob or any advertising SDK
- Facebook SDK
- Crashlytics or any crash reporting service
- Any attribution or marketing analytics tool

## 6. Children's Privacy
Codexa is a general educational application suitable for all ages, including children under the age of 13. Because the App:
- Collects no personal information
- Does not connect to the internet
- Does not display advertisements
- Does not allow in-app purchases
- Does not enable communication with other users
...it complies with the **Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA)** and similar international regulations protecting minors.
Parents and guardians can allow children to use this App without concern about data privacy.

## 7. Data Security
Since no data is transmitted off your device, the security of your usage data depends entirely on your device's own security (screen lock, encryption, etc.). We recommend using standard device security practices such as enabling a screen lock and keeping your operating system up to date.
We have no ability to access, retrieve, or view any data stored on your device.

## 8. Data Retention and Deletion
All locally stored data persists until you either:
- Use the **"Reset Progress"** feature in the App's Settings screen (clears all progress and preferences), or
- **Uninstall the App** from your device (Android automatically removes all associated app data on uninstall).
We have no ability to delete your data on your behalf because we never receive it.

## 9. International Users
Codexa is available globally. Because the App does not collect or transmit any personal data, it does not transfer any personal information across international borders. There is no data processing activity subject to GDPR, CCPA, or similar data protection laws, as no personal data is collected.
However, if you are a resident of the **European Economic Area (EEA)** or **California**, please note:
- **GDPR (EU):** No personal data is processed. The App does not have a legal basis to claim because there is nothing to claim — no processing occurs.
- **CCPA (California):** We do not sell personal information. We do not collect personal information. No opt-out mechanism is necessary.

## 10. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in the App's features or applicable laws. When we update it, we will revise the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page and publish the new version to the same URL.
