CADForge Privacy Policy

CADForge (“we”, “our”, or “the app”) provides CAD lessons, exercises, technical library content, challenges, Real Works projects, progress tracking, VIP features, and learning support.

1. Information We Collect

When you create and use a CADForge account, we may collect:

- Email address and authentication information

- Account ID and display name

- Optional profile photo

- Learning progress, completed lessons, exercises, points, badges, and learning statistics

- Challenge and Real Works submissions, including uploaded CAD files and preview images

- Learning questions, question details, optional contact email, and attached images

- Reviews, ratings, comments, and support reports that you voluntarily submit

- Notification preferences and device information required to deliver notifications

- VIP membership, subscription status, renewal status, and purchase verification information

- App version, operating system, device platform, and related technical information included in support reports

We do not intentionally collect payment card details. Payments and subscription transactions are handled by Google Play.

2. How We Use Information

We use the collected information to:

- Create and manage your account

- Provide lessons, exercises, challenges, Real Works, and library features

- Save your learning progress and display profile statistics

- Process and review uploaded submissions

- Receive and answer learning questions

- Send notifications about answers, submission status, account security, and selected app updates

- Verify and manage VIP membership

- Provide customer support and troubleshoot technical problems

- Protect the security and integrity of the app and backend services

- Comply with legal obligations

3. Uploaded Content

Files and images uploaded to CADForge are used only for the feature or support request for which they were submitted.

Challenge files, Real Works files, learning-question images, and other private uploads are protected by account-based access controls. Private files are not publicly downloadable. Approved preview content may be displayed to other users when the feature requires it, such as approved Real Works previews.

Do not upload passwords, payment information, government identification documents, or other unrelated sensitive information.

4. Notifications

CADForge may send in-app and device notifications for learning updates, challenge and upload status, learning-question answers, news, VIP information, and account or security events.

Optional notification categories can be managed in the app. Security and account-related notifications may remain enabled when necessary to protect your account.

5. Service Providers

CADForge uses trusted service providers to operate the app, including:

- Supabase for authentication, database services, secure file storage, and backend operations

- Google Play for subscription purchases and payment processing

- Firebase Cloud Messaging or related Google notification services for device notifications

These providers process information only as needed to provide their services and according to their own privacy policies.

6. Data Security

We use authentication, row-level access controls, private storage, encrypted HTTPS connections, and server-side membership checks to protect your information.

No online service can guarantee absolute security. You are responsible for protecting your account credentials and must not share your password with anyone.

7. Data Retention

We retain account and learning information while your account is active or as needed to provide the service, maintain security, resolve disputes, and comply with legal obligations.

Private uploads may remain associated with your account until you delete them, they are removed through the app, or they are no longer required for the related feature.

8. Account Deletion

You can permanently delete your CADForge account from the Privacy & Security section of the app.

Account deletion removes your authenticated account and associated user-owned data, including applicable profile data, progress records, notifications, support records, learning questions, and private uploaded files, subject to information that must be retained for legal or security purposes.

Deleting the app from your device does not delete your account or cancel an active Google Play subscription. Cancel subscriptions through your Google Play account.

9. Your Choices

You can:

- Update your display name and optional profile photo

- Manage notification preferences

- Manage downloaded content

- Change your password

- Delete your account and associated data

- Contact us about privacy or data requests

10. Children’s Privacy

CADForge is not intended to knowingly collect personal information from children who cannot legally consent to data processing. If you believe a child has provided personal information, please contact us so we can review and remove it where appropriate.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy when the app, backend services, or legal requirements change. The updated version will be published on this page with a new “Last updated” date.
