This Privacy Policy is an integral part of the Terms of Use for the Codecifer Hostel Management App. The App provides features for hostel owners to manage their hostels and expenses. Users can:

1. Create hostels under the hostel owner.

2. Create hostel warden users and grant them access.

3. Create guest records and assign guests to rooms.

4. Collect fees from guests and view reports.

5. Record expenses.

By accessing the App, you consent to the collection, storage, and use of your personal information as described in this Policy. We respect user privacy and are committed to protecting it. By using the Codecifer Hostel App, you agree to this Policy. If you do not agree with any term in this Policy, please do not use the application.

Information Provided by Users

Users are required to provide certain information regarding hostels and guests, including:

• Personal information of hostel guests (e.g., phone number, address, photo, identity cards, etc.).

• Hostel room and occupancy information.

• Hostel fees and expenses.

We assure you that we do not share this data with any third party except as stated in this Policy. All information is service-dependent, and we may use it to provide the Services, maintain, protect, and improve the Codecifer Hostel App, and develop new services.

We may also use your email address and phone number for administrative purposes, such as notifying you of major changes, customer service, updates to Codecifer Hostel App Services, and billing. When you register with the Codecifer Hostel App, we may (at our discretion) contact you periodically regarding updates to your information.

Information Automatically Tracked

We store the contact information of your guests and parties. By continuing to use the App/Site, you agree to the use of cookies and similar technologies as described in this Policy.

Links to Third-Party Sites/Ad-Servers

The Site may include links to other websites such as advertisers, blogs, content sponsorships, vendor services, social networks, etc. These websites are governed by their respective privacy policies, which are beyond our control. Once you leave our servers, the use of any information you provide is governed by the privacy policy of the operator of the site you are visiting. We make no representation or warranty regarding how your information is stored or used on third-party servers. If you cannot find the privacy policy of any of these sites via a link from the website's homepage, you should contact the website directly for more information.

Information Sharing

The information collected (including personal information) may be shared third-party service providers, including marketing partners, to which the user consents.

We take reasonable steps to ensure that third-party service providers are obligated to protect your personal information and are subject to appropriate confidentiality/non-disclosure obligations in compliance with applicable data protection laws. These entities may market to you unless you explicitly opt out.

Further, we may share information (including sensitive personal information) as required by law, for verification of identity, prevention, detection, investigation of cyber incidents, prosecution, and punishment of offenses. Such disclosures are made in good faith and are deemed necessary for enforcing the Terms of Use or complying with applicable laws and regulations.

We do not share personal information of individual users, such as name, phone number, address, email address, user ID, spending data, card details, and other personal details, with any other user or third party unless explicitly approved by the individual user.

We share crash logs and diagnostic data with the Play Store/App Store to improve the user experience.

By using the Codecifer Hostel App, users agree and consent to the disclosure, transfer, storage, and processing of personal information  by us in India and other countries to our affiliates, group companies, and third parties.

Information Storage and Backup

We take regular (weekly) backups of your Hostel App data on our cloud database to ensure data recovery in case of a database server crash. We retain user information in our records as long as it is relevant for offering Hostel App Services. Once the Services are no longer relevant to a user, we remove all associated information from our records.

Information Security

We implement appropriate security measures to protect against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction of data, including accidental or intentional manipulation, loss from unauthorized access. These measures include internal reviews of our data collection, storage, and processing practices and security measures, including appropriate encryption and physical security measures to guard against unauthorized access to systems where we store personal data. All information gathered on the App is securely stored within a controlled database with password-protected access, strictly limited to authorized personnel.

Our security measures are regularly reviewed and updated to reflect technological developments. However, please understand that no data transmission over the internet or any public network can be guaranteed to be 100% secure. We seek to comply with applicable data protection laws to ensure the protection and preservation of user privacy and personal information.

In the event of a security breach, we will notify you via email or any other feasible manner as soon as possible and without unreasonable delay, consistent with the legitimate needs of law enforcement. We will undertake all necessary measures to determine the scope of the breach and restore the reasonable integrity of the data system.

The App does not provide any data to third-party SDKs.

Revocation of Consent

Users can revoke their consent to the processing of their personal information at any time with future effect. However, withdrawing consent does not affect our right to continue collecting, using, and disclosing personal information where such collection, use, and disclosure without consent is permitted or required under applicable laws.

Updates/Changes

We may alter this Policy from time to time to incorporate necessary changes in technology, applicable law, or other factors. We reserve the right to change the terms of this Policy or the Terms of Use at any time. Any changes we make will be effective immediately upon notice, which we may give by posting the new policy on the Site. Your use of the App after such notice will be deemed acceptance of such changes. We may also make reasonable efforts to inform you via email. Disclaimer

If you share any personal information with us that is not requested during registration, we will not be liable for any information security breach or disclosure in relation to such information.
