Effective date: October 20, 2026
PinMind: Focus Timer & Blocker ("PinMind", "the app", formerly FocusFlow) is developed by Om Ochhane. This policy explains what information the app handles and how.
Summary
PinMind does not sell or share any data. The app has no accounts, no ads and no analytics. Everything you create in the app stays on your device. The only thing the app sends is an anonymous device code used to run the free trial fairly (see "Free trial check" below).
Information stored on your device
To work, the app stores the following only on your device:
Focus sessions, pomodoro counts and distraction logs
Tasks, daily goals and time tracked against them
Water intake, breathing sessions and reminder settings
App preferences (timer lengths, sounds, blocking schedules)
This data never leaves your device unless you choose to export it (see below). Uninstalling the app or using Settings > Reset all data deletes it.
Free trial check
To give each phone the 7-day free trial only once, the app sends our server an anonymous device code and the date your trial started. The code cannot identify you and is not linked to your name, email or Google account. It is used only for the trial, is never shared, and is sent over a secure connection. To have it deleted, email us (see Contact).
Purchases
PinMind Pro is bought through Google Play, which handles the payment. We never see your card or payment details.
Device permissions
Notifications, exact alarms, run at startup: to deliver timer and reminder alerts on time, including after a reboot.
Usage access (Android): used only during a Strict focus session or a scheduled blocking window, to detect which app is in the foreground so a distracting app can be covered. This information is checked on the device in real time and is not stored or sent anywhere.
Display over other apps (Android): to show the "return to focus" screen over a blocked app.
Foreground service: to keep focus lock running while a session is active.
Vibration: for haptic feedback.
Internet: only for the free trial check above.
You can revoke any of these in your device settings; related features will stop working, and the rest of the app keeps working.
Exporting data
If you use the CSV export, the app creates a file and hands it to the Android share sheet. Where it goes next (email, drive, etc.) is your choice and is governed by that service's privacy policy.
Third parties
The app contains no third-party analytics, advertising or tracking SDKs. Voice cues use your device's built-in text-to-speech engine.
Children
PinMind is designed for adults and is not directed at children. It does not collect personal information from anyone, including children.
Changes
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted at this address with a new effective date.
