Jessica Valera has been a science teacher and school leader for over 12 years, most recently at Escuela Campo Alegre, The American International School of Caracas, Venezuela. Prior to that, she served as a teacher and Science Department Head at Aragon High School in San Mateo, California. While at Escuela Campo Alegre she also worked as the Technology Integration Facilitator, supporting and coaching teachers with implementing technology into their teaching practice. Jessica's interests and passions in education are inquiry-based science, real-world project-based learning and educational technology that supports great curriculum. Jessica is looking forward to returning home to the San Francisco Bay Area and is enthusiastic to join the founding faculty of the Contra Costa School of Performing Arts.
