A. Eligibility Guidelines for Participants
1. Age Requirement
▪ Participants (designer) must be at least 18 years of age or older.
▪ Open to all genders.
2. Residency
▪ This contest is open to individuals who are currently residing in the Province of Romblon or have ancestral ties to the province through their family lineage.
3. Skill Level
▪ All skill levels are welcome, from beginners to professional designers.
B. Pre-Registration
▪ All interested participants must complete the pre-registration form through this link on or before March 12, 2026 at 5 PM : https://bit.ly/CocoFashion2026
C. Creative Design Preparation
▪ Designers may interpret the theme in their own unique way, following the judging criteria; only imagination limits your creation.
▪ Each design must incorporate a minimum of 50% coconut-based materials, which may include:
Roots, trunk, leaves, leaf midrib, flower, Outer skin of the coconut fruit, husk, shell
▪ Each participant may create and present up to two design entries.
▪ Final creative designs must be completed on or before March 18, 2026, 5 PM for preliminary screening of the committee.
Submission of Creations
▪ The design must be completed on or before March 19, 2026, at 5:00 PM. An official photoshoot will be conducted thereafter for documentation and Facebook posting.
▪ Entries will be published on the DTI Facebook page on March 23-27, 2026 for audience voting in the “Netizen’s Choice” award, based on the highest number of reactions (Like, Heart, Wow, Care).
▪ All entries must be original creations by the participating designer.
Fashion Show Presentation
▪ The presentation of creations will be held on March 30, 2026, at 5:00 PM at Odiongan Covered Court.
▪ Each entry will be modeled by a Binibining Odiongan candidate.
▪ Footwear, jewelry, purses, and other accessories may be used to enhance, but not overshadow, the coconut-themed creations. Such accessories must also be the designer’s own creations.
D. CRITERIA FOR JUDGING
Total Score: 100%
1. Thematic Alignment (20%)
▪ Clear and effective interpretation of the given theme
▪ Consistency of concept throughout the outfit
▪ Visual representation of the theme through design, color, and details
2. Presentation and Execution (20%)
▪ Runway presence, poise, confidence, and stage impact
▪ Quality of craftsmanship, construction, and finishing
▪ Overall visual appeal of the creation
3. Creativity, Style, and Wearability (20%)
▪ Unique and imaginative interpretation of the designer’s chosen concept and style.
▪ Innovative design elements that enhance the concept while preserving the identity and purpose of the creation
▪ Thoughtful use of accessories and enhancements that complement the outfit without compromising authenticity
▪ Distinctive details or signature elements that elevate the overall look
▪ Wearability and functionality – practicality of the outfit for real-life or performance use, considering comfort, mobility, and suitability to its intended purpose
4. Appropriateness and Compliance (15%)
▪ Accuracy and relevance to the theme or purpose
▪ Compliance with all rules, guidelines, and competition requirements
▪ Suitability of the design for the intended audience and event
▪ Proper and safe use of materials, including coconut-based elements
5. Social Media Engagement (15%)
▪ Number of likes, reactions, and overall engagement on the official Facebook post
▪ Engagement will be counted until the cut-off date and time set by the organizers
▪ Percentage scoring will be based on ranking of total reactions (Like, Heart, Wow, and Care):
· Highest reactions – 15%
· Second highest – 12%
· Third highest – 10%
· Remaining entries – 8%
6. Overall Impact (10%)
▪ Strong and memorable overall impression
▪ Emotional and visual impact on the audience
▪ Cohesiveness of concept, design, and presentation
▪ Originality and uniqueness of the total look
