March Madness is the school’s intramural Basketball event. On the 14th of February, every student who signed up met up in the gym for their draft into the 8 teams. A few weeks after, the first game was held in the school's gym during lunchtime. Every game had two 10-minute halves and a one-minute break in between. Each team consisted of 8 players and their coach. The coaches being our high school students. Whichever team played the day prior contributed to the event by taking on the roles of scorekeepers and referees the next day.

The games were played from Monday to Thursday for the entirety of March and end of February. Some notable games aside from the play-offs were on the 18th and 19th of March.
Each of the team’s best players played an All-Star game on March 18th. The following day’s game was called the “Toilet Bowl” games, wherein the worst teams play each other and the loser is deemed the ‘worst’ team in the event. The Caseoh Elite defeated the Commandments in an epic battle– leaving the Commandments as the worst team this season.
The final game took place on the 28th during a school assembly. The BBC met Lucas Fan Club in the final game. Through the first half, the Lucas fan club (LFC) took a heavy lead, maintaining a consistent 5-point lead. During the second act, BBC kicked into gear, getting many points and holding the lead. With half a minute left on the clock and the score at 30:32, BBC kept the high ground and when the clock buzzed and the game was over, the crowd went wild and began to chant for BBC’s victory.
Leaving BBC fans cheering in the stands, the team went to collect their Victory Rings from Hayden Mcloung. In the end, the BBC managed to take the win and bring home epic cobra-styled rings as their trophies.

As a player, it was a successful alteration to the normal lunch breaks. Having nearly the whole school as your audience while playing with your peers is an amazing feeling. Through March Madness you get to meet new people and play together. On top of that, you get to learn new skills, as the flow of each game is different. Playing Basketball with other students as well as teachers brings a completely new vibe to the game. It was fun as well, when your team isn't playing, to watch the other teams compete against each other, like in every Basketball tournament. All in all, the experience as a player was truly amazing.
