Minute of the 1st Meeting- Bali-Indonesia

At October 7, 2019, at 14:00 hours, during the 19^th International Conference on Emerging Nuclear Energy Systems (ICENES), in the Holliday Inn Resort Baruna, Bali, Indonesia the following discriminated and qualified persons: Professor Jose Rubens Maiorino; Professor Sumer Sahin, Professor Abdul Waris, Professor Sidik Permana, Professor Johanes Henoch Neethling, Professor Haci Mehemet and by Proxy letter Professor SalahEddine Bentrini, Professor Mikolaj Oetting, Professor Naima Amrani, signatories of the Memorandum of Understanding, and by Dr. Jacques O’Connel from South Africa Dr. Arvind Mathue, from India, Dr. Robert Hargraves, from USA(represented by Dr. Lars Jorgensen from ThorCon), Dr. Bob Effenchi, from ThorCon, Dr. David Devanney, from ThorCon, Prof. Zaley Suud, from Indonesia, aiming to create a non-governmental and non-profit, scientific organization, denominated as Consortium of Academics from Universities promoting the use of Thorium, hereinafter referred to as the COAUTHOR. Those attending the meeting, by acclamation, chose Prof. Jose Rubens Maiorino to chair the session and me Prof. Abdul Waris to act as secretary. After discussing the items on the agenda: a) Status of Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), previously signed to create COAUTHOR, b) approval of the statute, c) Election of the President and Vice President, d) general topics, decided as follows: a)The chairman exposed the last version of the MoU( 16^th version) informing that already 28 academics from all around the world had joined the MoU ;b)After a discussion the participants concluded as consensus that the creation of COAUTHOR is still not mature enough to be formalized and legalized, and decided that the MoU is still sufficient to maintain a collaboration among the participants. Therefore a new version of the MoU will be issued by the Chairman containing an amendment post pone the creation of the MoU for more two years, from the date of this meeting ; c)There was not candidates for the Presidium, and by acclamation, chose Prof. Jose Rubens Maiorino to continue to be the chairman of the MoU with the amendment for the next two years when a new meeting will be taken place to decide the creation of COAUTHOR, and d)The participants of the meeting made as commitment to work to divulge the MoU in their institution. Also Dr. Lars Jorgensen, from ThorCon will indicate Dr. Robert Hargraves to represent ThorCon in the Mou. There being no more, the meeting was adjourned, and these minutes were drawn up, read and found to be complying, signed by me, the chaiman and by those present in the attendance list.
