Coarse 86 Angling Club is a well established mixed fishery. The main lake is 3 acres in size and very well stocked with 40 swims, coming off this lake is a canal shaped water 300 metres long with 15 swims again very well stocked. The waters are very secluded in completely natural surroundings, very secure and safe with a separate locked car park. The pleasure angling is great for all species.
We are very proud of our waters with many visitors praising the club and joining after their first visit. We have a match fishing section to the club with away visits to other club waters and an average of two matches a month on Coarse 86.
The water has been in existence since the 60’s and completely unfished until Coarse 86 was formed in 1986. The club has gone from strength to strength, in 2011 we stocked ½ a ton of quality mixed fish. We have meetings on the first Thursday of each month held at the British Legion Hall in Hockley, Essex. Starting at 8.00pm. Membership is capped at 150 full members so the waters are never crowded,. There are no day tickets other than members wishing to take a guest.
The main road to the land is securely gated with security cameras in force, the gates to our waters are also securely locked. Bags between 20 to 40 pounds of mixed silver fish are common, there are no large Carp but many averaging 8 to 10 pounds.
