I was out rinsing something that smelled like foul cabbage juice and saw this

I saw a guy make carbon black so lets give it a try

a few small pieces

grind for a bit

this looks magical...hope it works

pour back and forth getting out bigger particles

ready to filter

goes pretty quick

spread out and wait to dry

the filter worked pretty good

1 day dry

all dried out

very light

grinds very easy

by far the best feeling fine powder so far...I hope it translates to oil paint!
