Science with Ms. Rouse

Our first project will be our Green School application for official certification.

Trimester 1 will center on understanding the Green Schools initiative, gathering data about our current school practices and sustainability challenges, and

Trimester 2 will be working on developing a new initiative in one of our identified growth areas and preparing our portfolio for review in March.

8th Grade Science this year will center on developing lab skills, scientific thinking and writing, and exploring different areas of science as students prepare for high school.

Our first project study will center around the chemistry of cooking!

"Why do we preheat the oven?"

"What is the difference between baking powder and baking soda?"

"How do they make flaming hot cheetos and why are they do good?"
