This privacy policy applies to the mobile app "CNC Speeds & Feeds Calculator"
(shown in the app as "Machinist Calc") on Android and iOS:

The app is developed and operated by Heekyung Moon (Google Play developer name:
janey-moon), referred to as "we" or "us".

OVERVIEW
CNC Speeds & Feeds Calculator computes spindle speeds, feed rates, tap-drill sizes
and bolt-circle coordinates from values you enter. Calculations run on your device.
We do not sell personal data.
LOCAL DATA
Material, tool and thread inputs, saved presets and preferences are stored in the
app's storage on your device. Saved presets remain on your device and are not
uploaded to our servers. Certain calculation selections and counts are transmitted
to Firebase Analytics as usage-event parameters: material identifiers, thread standards, thread percentages,
bolt-circle hole counts and similar option choices (see THIRD-PARTY SERVICES).
If you choose to share or copy a result, the text is passed to the app or clipboard
you select.
THIRD-PARTY SERVICES
- Google Firebase Analytics and Crashlytics: app usage events (including the
calculation-related selections listed above), device and technical information,
an app-instance identifier and crash diagnostics, used to understand usage and
keep the app stable. Analytics and crash reporting are not controlled by the ad
consent or tracking choices described below.
- Google Firebase Firestore: the app downloads app configuration (such as ad
settings). It does not upload your presets or calculation inputs.
- Google AdMob: the advertising identifier (Android Advertising ID or iOS IDFA,
where permitted), device and network information, ad interaction data and IP
address (which may be used to estimate approximate location), plus SDK
diagnostics and other device identifiers described in Google's disclosures, to
show and measure ads, prevent fraud and diagnose ad delivery.
Apart from sharing you start yourself and device backups (described in this
policy), the app sends data automatically only to the Google services above, for
the purposes above. We use these services under Google's applicable terms. We
ensure that third-party service providers with whom we share user data provide the
same or equal protection of that data as stated in this privacy policy and required
by Apple's App Review Guidelines. See:

ADS CONSENT & TRACKING
Where required (for example in the EEA and UK), the app uses Google's User Messaging
Platform (UMP) to ask for your consent before personalized ads.
On iOS, the app requests authorization through Apple's App Tracking Transparency
(ATT) when the system permits the prompt. If tracking is not allowed, the IDFA is
not available to the app or its ad partners.
If you decline, the app continues to work and may show non-personalized ads.
The app does not currently include an in-app button to reopen the ad consent form.
The UMP SDK stores your consent settings on your device and passes the relevant
consent signals to advertising services. On each launch the app checks consent
status with UMP. To reset the stored choice, clear the app's data (Android:
Settings > Apps > CNC Speeds & Feeds Calculator > Storage > Clear storage) or delete
and reinstall the app. This also removes your saved presets and preferences. After
a reset, where consent is required, the consent form can be shown again when the
app next loads it successfully. If a device backup restores the app's data, the
previous choice may be restored with it.
The advertising ID and ATT settings under STORAGE & CONTROL are separate controls.

PERMISSIONS
The app does not ask for location, camera, microphone or contacts permissions.
DATA RETENTION & DELETION
- Local data: you can delete saved presets inside the app. Uninstalling the app
removes its local data from this device; existing device or cloud backups are
handled separately (see below).
- Data processed by Google Firebase and AdMob is kept according to those services'
retention settings and policies. Uninstalling the app does not delete data that
was already sent to them.
- To request deletion of data associated with your use of the app, email us at the
address below. Because we do not ask for your name, email or account, we may only
be able to act on data we can link to you from the information you provide, and
we will explain any limits in our reply.
STORAGE & CONTROL
- Android: if device backup is enabled, app data may be included in your Google
backup and restored on reinstall.
- iOS: app data may be included in your iCloud or device backups according to your
device settings.
- Android: you can reset or delete your Advertising ID in Settings > Google (or
Privacy) > Ads.
- iOS: you can change tracking permission in Settings > Privacy & Security >
Tracking.
SECURITY
Data sent to Google Firebase and AdMob is transmitted over encrypted (HTTPS/TLS)
connections. On iOS, App Transport Security blocks arbitrary unencrypted network
loads. Local data is stored in the app's private storage area on your device and
is protected by your device's operating system. No method of transmission or
storage is completely secure.
CHILDREN
This app is not directed to children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect
personal information from children.
CHANGES
We may update this policy. The "Last updated" date above will change accordingly.
