If you want a rugged, multi-colored set of over-ear headphones built for chaotic classrooms and heavy daily use by children, choose CN-Outlet Classroom Headphones Bulk; if you need a sleek, all-black on-ear solution with soft foam cushions designed for extended focus sessions or adult travelers, choose Konohan 30. This decision isn't about which is louder or cheaper; it is about matching the physical design to the user's head shape, the environment, and the specific type of noise isolation required for side sleepers who might rest their heads against a desk or pillow while listening.
• CN-Outlet: Strengths include a durable, flexible plastic bracket and a lightweight 1.5-ounce per unit design that fits ages 3 and up; trade-off is the hard plastic ear cups which may lack the plush comfort needed for deep side sleeping.
• Konohan 30: Strengths feature soft foam ear cushions and an adjustable on-ear frame that minimizes pressure points for long durations; trade-off is the smaller cushion surface area which can create hot spots if worn tightly against the ear during side sleeping.
• Who each pick is for: CN-Outlet is for schools managing large groups of active kids where durability and color coding matter most, while Konohan 30 is for libraries, offices, or older students needing quiet, comfortable listening for hours.
The CN-Outlet Classroom Headphones Bulk are engineered with one primary goal in mind: surviving the hands of children. Each unit weighs only 1.5 ounces, making them virtually weightless on a child's head. This low mass is critical for younger students who might fidget or struggle with heavier equipment. The headband itself is made of flexible plastic capable of bending at a large angle without breaking, a feature that directly addresses the reality of how quickly bulk items get tossed into backpacks or dropped on floors.
For the specific use case of side sleepers, particularly young ones resting their heads on a pillow while watching educational content, the over-ear design offers a different kind of protection than on-ear models. The rounded enclosure wraps around the ear rather than pressing down on it. However, the material is plastic, not memory foam. While this makes them easy to wipe clean and resistant to sweat, they do not have the soft padding found in higher-end consumer audio gear. If you are looking for bone conduction headphones for side sleepers that don't touch the ear canal at all, these wired units still require an over-the-ear fit, but the rigid shell provides a solid seal that helps with sound isolation in noisy environments like a busy computer lab.

This product is ideal for schools, libraries, testing centers, and museums where hygiene and durability are paramount. The fact that they come in a pack of 20 mixed colors—Baby blue, Orange, Dark blue, and Black—allows teachers to easily assign specific pairs to specific students, reducing loss and confusion. The 4-foot cable provides ample room for movement, and the 3.5mm jack ensures compatibility with almost any classroom device, from Chromebooks to laptops. If your priority is a set of headphones that will last through years of rough handling and standardize the audio experience for hundreds of students, this is the tool for the job.
However, if you are an adult seeking premium comfort for long-haul flights or intense gaming sessions, the hard plastic ear pads might feel cold and unyielding after an hour. They are also not designed for noise canceling headband headphones for side sleepers in the electronic sense; they rely on passive sound isolation from the over-ear cup shape. They are excellent for keeping external noise out enough to focus on a test, but they won't actively cancel engine hum or traffic noise like active cancellation systems do.
The Konohan 30 takes a slightly different approach, focusing on comfort and a more mature aesthetic. These are on-ear headphones, meaning the drivers sit directly on top of the ear rather than surrounding it. This combination suggests a design philosophy centered on minimizing pressure during long periods of wear. For a student studying late at night or an office worker attending a virtual meeting, the reduction of ear pressure is a significant advantage.
When considering clip on earbuds for side sleepers, one must remember that clip-ons are a completely different category of form factor. The Konohan 30 sits on the ear, which creates a different dynamic for side sleeping. Because they are on-ear, the cushion presses against the side of the head when you lie down. If the cushion is too firm, it can become uncomfortable or painful. However, the inclusion of soft foam is a deliberate move to mitigate this. The 4.92-foot cable gives users plenty of slack to move around a room or bed without feeling tethered, which is essential for anyone who needs to shift positions frequently.
These headphones are versatile enough for classrooms, but they shine in settings that value a professional look. The all-black color scheme blends in perfectly in libraries, training facilities, and art galleries where bright primary colors might be distracting. The package includes 30 units, offering a larger quantity than the CN-Outlet pack, which could be beneficial for larger institutions or businesses distributing to multiple departments. The materials listed as ABS and PVC suggest a sturdy build, though the emphasis here is clearly on the "reusable" nature and the tactile comfort of the foam.
For side sleepers specifically, the choice between these two models comes down to how much pressure you can tolerate. The on-ear design of the Konohan 30 is generally lighter and less bulky than over-ear styles, which some side sleepers prefer because there is less volume to interfere with the pillow. Yet, the direct contact point is exactly where the pressure builds. If you have sensitive ears or find that even soft foam hurts when lying on your side, the Konohan 30 might not be the ultimate solution, but the softness of the pads is a distinct upgrade over the hard plastic of the CN-Outlet.

• Best for young children (ages 3+) → CN-Outlet Classroom Headphones Bulk (lightweight, colorful, oversized ear cups).
• Best for teens and adults → Konohan 30 (sleek black design, on-ear style preferred by older demographics).
• Best for sound isolation in noisy labs → CN-Outlet Classroom Headphones Bulk (over-ear design creates a better passive seal).
• Best for minimal pressure on the ear → Konohan 30 (on-ear design avoids covering the entire ear).
• Best for visibility and organization → CN-Outlet Classroom Headphones Bulk (mixed colors help track individual ownership).
• Best for high-volume distribution → Konohan 30 (pack of 30 offers more units per order).
In my opinion, if you are outfitting a school or dealing with young children who treat equipment like toys, the CN-Outlet Classroom Headphones Bulk is the clear winner. The flexibility of the headband and the ability to survive being dropped or bent make it the only logical choice for that environment. However, if you are a side sleeper yourself, or if you are buying for older students or adults who prioritize comfort over ruggedness, I would choose the Konohan 30. The soft foam ear cushions provide a level of comfort that the hard plastic of the CN-Outlet simply cannot match, making it the superior choice for anyone who plans to wear headphones for extended periods while lying down or sitting still. Both products offer reliable wired connectivity and universal 3.5mm compatibility, so the final call rests entirely on whether you need the tank-like durability of the CN-Outlet or the plush comfort of the Konohan.
Both models can be used by side sleepers, but they have different trade-offs. The CN-Outlet's over-ear design creates more bulk that might press into a pillow, while the Konohan 30's on-ear design is slimmer but places direct pressure on the ear with its foam cushions.
No, both products are passive wired headphones. They do not have active noise cancellation technology. Instead, they rely on the physical design of the ear cups (over-ear) or ear cushions (on-ear) to provide sound isolation.
The Konohan 30 comes in a larger pack of 30 units, whereas the CN-Outlet comes in a pack of 20. If you need to equip a very large group immediately, the Konohan option provides more inventory per purchase.
Yes, both products feature a standard 3.5mm headphone jack that is compatible with a wide range of devices, including laptops, desktops, tablets, smartphones, and Chromebooks commonly found in schools and offices.
