Caleb Mooneyham is the Percussion Program Coordinator at North Pontotoc High School, where he has built a reputation for excellence in percussion education and performance. His percussion books have consistently received “Best in State” honors at the MHSAA Marching Festival, reflecting his commitment to high-quality, innovative instructional materials. His works are also published with industry leaders Tapspace Percussion and Synced Up Designs.
Caleb has composed for and directed numerous successful ensembles, including indoor percussion groups that earned Gold in the SCGC Independent A Class (2018), MIA Independent A Class (2022), and SCGC Scholastic A Class (2024). Under his guidance, his students have regularly earned placements in the Mississippi All-State Band, showcasing his dedication to student achievement and musical growth.
A Cum Laude graduate of Mississippi State University, Caleb served as section leader of the Mississippi State Famous Maroon Band Percussion Section during the 2018 marching season, where the ensemble featured two of his original compositions in their Junction Show. In addition to his teaching and composing, Caleb maintains an active performance schedule, regularly playing drum set gigs across Mississippi, Alabama, and Tennessee.
