Our laboratory aims to establish the fundamental science of carbon nanotube architectures — from 1D fibers to 2D films and 3D aerogels. We integrate catalysis, chemical engineering, data-driven analytics, rheology, and chemical physics to uncover the governing principles of CNT synthesis, assembly, and structure–property relationships. Through this approach, we seek to create a new paradigm for understanding and controlling carbon-based materials.
Building on our fundamental research, we pursue transformative applications of CNT materials in collaboration with partners across disciplines and industries. Our goal is to translate CNT fibers, films, and aerogels into high-performance technologies, including next-generation batteries, flexible and transparent electronics, lightweight structural composites, environmental solutions, and sustainable energy systems.
