Shifting Borders and New Areas
Today, an announcement was made on the Concordian Republic's government website. It announced the creation of a new Federal District, and the expansion of borders. Here it is for you.
So, let's start with Western Aeonia. It has been expanded more than 300 metres down the Canning River, to the Three Logs, a site along the river with a crossing. It also has ceded a little land back to Australia. The Canning River National Park has also been extended, to in line with Saddlers Retreat. This borders with the new Lower Banks Federal District.
The Lower Banks are the second Federal District, larger than the NCFD. It includes a block of land under the Orlando Street bridge, and then runs along the river to the Three Logs. Joining the Lower Banks and Western Aeonia is the DIstrict Link, the first direct Concordian-owned path between jurisdictions.
There have also been multiple other named paths within Western Aeonia, joining the District Link and the NCFD's Capitol Road and Concordia Road. For one, the District Link continues through Western Aeonia, eventually going back into Australian territory. CMBC has also found a complex network of tracks not officially named.
Beyond that, west of the river is the South West Road, which ends up on Saddlers Retreat. On the east are Fields Road (crossing a field) and Trippings Crossing (linking to Fields Road). Finally, the Crossings Link south of the fields crosses the Canning River. It is generally expected that more roads will be named in the coming days.
Finally, a clarification. We reached out to the Concordian Government over the phrase 'includes a bike park which may close soon'. It was revealed to us that a section of the recently expanded borders, behind a nursing home, is the bike park. It is not supposed to be there (illegally constructed), and Australian officials may choose to close it down soon. Included is the map released by the government.
