Carl Mazzanti

I am a PhD student at the University of Bielefeld under the supervision of Prof. Charles Vial and Prof. Ignacio Barros. I am currently on a research stay in Antwerpen working with Prof. Barros.  My project is called "Hyper-Kähler Varieties and Moduli Spaces" and is part of the CRC 358: Integral Structures in Geometry and Representation Theory, which is funded by the Deutsche Forschungsgesellschaft (DFG).

You can contact me at cmazzanti(at)math(dot)uni-bielefeld(dot)de and you can find my CV here .

Academic Interests: I am interested in algebraic geometry, particularly complex algebraic geometry, moduli spaces and their birational geometry, and Hyper-Kähler varieties and their intersection theory.

Before starting my PhD, I completed Part III of the Mathematical Tripos at the University of Cambridge. As part of my master's degree, I worked under the supervision of Prof. Mark Gross on "Logarithmic Geometry and Logarithmic Gromov-Witten Theory".

I completed my Bachelor's degree at the University of Göttingen, where I worked on "Moduli spaces of vector bundles on algebraic surfaces" under the supervision of Prof. Victor Pidstrygach and Prof. Frank Gounelas.
