DeWayne Albin was a great friend. Stories about DeWayne and his wife MaryJo will be forever be told in CMA circles. He was a founding member of the sonshine Roadrunners of Farmington, New Mexico. DeWayne was known and respected by CMA leadership and members nation wide. His story would be best told in a book because their is so very much to share.
My best memories were setting with DeWayne at breakfast, asking a simple question, and then listening to the wisdom pour from him for several minutes at a time. He is sorely missed. The motorcycling world was DeWayne's extended family.
You will see many CMA members with a patch on their vest of a picture of DeWayne honoring his service and friendship. We all loved him!
My dad was DeWayne Albin. He was the founder (along with my mother, Mary Jo Albin) of the Farmington chapter of CMA, Sonshine Roadrunners. They started this chapter in Nov of 1988. He was president of the chapter until he resigned the position and Jerry Smiley took over. He also was an original board member of the Four Corners lron Horse Rally. He was a board member on the Tres Rios Abate. Worked hand and hand with Ron Andrew's on the Aspen Rally in Ruidoso- He became a Christian when he was 23 and never looked back. He never met a stranger, and never missed an opportunity to share the message of Jesus Christ. He was truly a legend in his time! Thank you so much. Vicky Albin
