Starting in September 2019, I have decided to learn something new everyday for half an hour. For now I have been taken two piano courses by Philip Solomonick from University of Michigan and I am still learning piano for half an hour everyday. Some other things I am interested in learning includes painting, classical Chinese poetry.
Movie
Starting from my undergraduate study, I watch more and more movies, which has now become my hobby. Some directors I like: Hsiao-hsien Hou(侯孝賢), Kar-wai Wong (王家衛 ), Hirokazu Kore-eda (是枝裕和, これえだ ひろかず ), Coen brothers, Quentin Tarantino and Wen Jiang (姜文).
Games
I like the board game called werewolf (a similar game that might sound more familiar is Mafia to non-Chinese). I spent so much time play it during my Ph.D. study. Here is a video (in Chinese) of a game that I participate in. I am a big fan of the TV show Survivors.
I also like the escape room. I like the Korean TV show the Genius.
I occasionally play computer games. There are mainly two type computer games I play: historical role-play games (for example, Nobunaga's Ambition (信長の野望 )) and card games (for example, Yu-Gi-Oh! (遊☆戯☆王 )).
