Welcome to Clock: Simple Alarm ("App"), developed by maya infotech ("Company", "we", "us", or "our"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect your personal data when you use our App or related services ("Services"). It also outlines your rights under applicable data protection laws, including the EU General Data Protection Regulation ("GDPR"), the California Consumer Privacy Act ("CCPA"), the Brazilian General Data Protection Law ("LGPD"), and Google Play policies. Our goal is to be transparent about our data practices and ensure your privacy is protected.
This Privacy Policy is an integral part of our End User License Agreement ("EULA"). Any capitalized terms not defined here have the meanings given in the EULA.
Device Information
We collect device-related data, such as hardware model, operating system version, and system settings. This information helps us optimize the App's performance and ensure compatibility with your device. We do not use this data to identify you personally but to improve user experience across different devices.
Network and Internet Access
The App requires internet access to enable certain features, such as cloud synchronization, analytics, and ad display. When you use these features, we may collect data about your network connection to facilitate smooth operation and troubleshoot issues.
Notification Access
The App may send notifications to your device to remind you of alarms, timers, or other events. This helps ensure you receive timely alerts even when the App is not actively open.
All data related to contacts is stored locally on your device. We do not upload or store this data on external servers. Any analytics data collected through third-party services (e.g., Firebase) is anonymized to protect your identity.
We employ appropriate security measures to protect your personal data, including encryption and regular security audits. However, no method of data transmission over the internet or electronic storage is 100% secure. We strive to use commercially acceptable means to protect your information, but we cannot guarantee its absolute security.
We request specific permissions to ensure the App functions reliably. Below is a detailed list of permissions and their purposes:
android.permission.POST_NOTIFICATIONS: This permission ensures your alarms, reminders, and stopwatch/timer run reliably in the background and always notify you on time.
android.permission.REQUEST_IGNORE_BATTERY_OPTIMIZATIONS: This permission is required so your alarms always ring on time, even when the app is not open or the phone is in power-saving mode.
android.permission.FOREGROUND_SERVICE and android.permission.FOREGROUND_SERVICE_SPECIAL_USE: These permissions ensure the stopwatch continues to run smoothly in the background and provide quick controls from the notification panel.
android.permission.SCHEDULE_EXACT_ALARM, android.permission.USE_EXACT_ALARM, and com.android.alarm.permission.SET_ALARM: These permissions are required so your alarms always ring on time, exactly when you expect them.
android.permission.RECEIVE_BOOT_COMPLETED: This permission is required so your alarms are automatically rescheduled and continue to work correctly after your device restarts.
android.permission.USE_FULL_SCREEN_INTENT: This permission is required so alarms can appear in full screen over the lock screen, making sure you never miss them.
android.permission.VIBRATE: This permission is required so your device can vibrate when alarms or reminders are triggered, ensuring you never miss them.
android.permission.WAKE_LOCK: This permission is required so the screen can wake up when an alarm goes off, ensuring you never miss it.
com.google.android.gms.permission.AD_ID: This permission is part of Google Play services, specifically used for advertising purposes. This permission is related to accessing the Advertising ID on Android devices, which is a unique identifier that developers and advertisers use to track user behavior across apps for personalized ads, while also giving users control over how their data is used.
android.permission.BILLING: This permission is required so your app can integrate with Google Play's billing system to process in-app purchases, subscriptions, and other digital transactions.
These permissions are essential for the core functionality of the App and comply with Google Play policies, which require clear explanations of why permissions are needed.
We integrate third-party libraries and SDKs to enhance the App's functionality, performance, and user experience. Below is a detailed list:
