ClipsCutter ("the App") is developed by Krepel Studio ("we", "us", or "our").
This Privacy Policy explains how information is accessed, processed, stored, and handled when you use ClipsCutter.
ClipsCutter is an Android application designed for video cutting, batch video processing, and video format conversion.
The App allows users to select one or multiple videos, configure processing settings, cut videos into clips, convert videos to supported formats, and save the resulting files to a user-selected location.
Video processing is performed locally on your device.
ClipsCutter does not intentionally upload the contents of your videos to Krepel Studio servers for video cutting or conversion.
ClipsCutter accesses videos and folders only when you explicitly select them using Android's system file or folder picker.
Depending on the operation you choose, the App may receive permission to:
read selected video files;
process selected videos;
create converted videos or video clips;
save results into a folder selected by you;
retain Android URI permissions for selected files or folders where supported by the storage provider.
ClipsCutter does not require unrestricted access to all files or videos stored on your device.
File access is handled using Android system file-selection mechanisms, including the Storage Access Framework where applicable.
Video cutting and video conversion are performed locally on your device.
During processing, ClipsCutter may temporarily access or create:
selected video contents;
video and audio streams;
video metadata;
file names;
file format information;
temporary processing files;
output files;
URI references;
processing queue information;
processing progress and status.
This information is used only to perform the video operation requested by you.
Temporary processing resources are removed when they are no longer required, including after successful completion, cancellation, or processing errors where technically possible.
ClipsCutter may continue an active video cutting or conversion operation while the App is in the background, after you explicitly start that operation.
For long-running video processing, the App may use an Android Foreground Service with the mediaProcessing service type.
This allows an operation you started to continue when:
the App is minimized;
you temporarily use another application;
the device screen is turned off or locked, subject to Android system restrictions.
Background processing is used only for video cutting or conversion that you explicitly initiate.
ClipsCutter does not automatically start video processing in the background without a user-initiated operation.
ClipsCutter may display notifications while video cutting or conversion is running.
Processing notifications may display information such as:
the type of operation;
processing progress;
number of processed videos;
total number of videos;
current processing status;
the name of the video currently being processed;
completion status.
Notifications may also provide actions such as cancelling an active operation or returning to the processing or results screen.
On Android versions that require notification permission, ClipsCutter may request the POST_NOTIFICATIONS permission.
Granting notification permission allows processing progress and completion notifications to appear in the notification area.
If you deny notification permission, supported video processing functionality is not intentionally blocked solely because notification permission was denied.
ClipsCutter does not use notifications for accessing the contents of unrelated files or messages.
You may cancel an active cutting or conversion operation from within the App or, where available, from the processing notification.
When an operation is cancelled, ClipsCutter attempts to:
stop the active processing operation;
preserve files that were already successfully completed;
remove incomplete output files and temporary processing resources where technically possible.
Android may also impose limits on long-running background media processing.
If Android requires an active processing service to stop, ClipsCutter may terminate the current operation, preserve successfully completed results, and clean up incomplete processing resources where technically possible.
ClipsCutter is designed to use Android's system file and folder selection mechanisms rather than unrestricted storage access.
The App does not request the MANAGE_EXTERNAL_STORAGE permission for normal video cutting or conversion.
On supported Android versions, access to individual videos or folders is granted through the system picker when you explicitly select them.
The free version of ClipsCutter may display advertisements provided by Google AdMob.
Google Mobile Ads may collect or process information such as:
device or other identifiers;
advertising identifiers where available;
approximate location derived from signals such as IP address;
app interactions;
diagnostic information;
advertising and performance information.
The exact information processed depends on your device, region, privacy choices, Google services, and applicable law.
Advertising data is processed according to Google's policies.
Where required, ClipsCutter may use Google's User Messaging Platform (UMP) to request or manage consent for advertising and related data processing.
The consent options presented may depend on your region and applicable legal requirements.
Where available, you may be able to review or change privacy choices through the App.
ClipsCutter may offer a paid Pro version through Google Play Billing.
Purchases are processed by Google Play.
We do not directly receive or store your complete payment card or banking information.
The App may process purchase status and entitlement information necessary to determine whether Pro features should be enabled.
ClipsCutter may store application settings and state locally on your device, including information such as:
language preference;
theme preference;
onboarding completion state;
processing settings;
selected output preferences;
Pro entitlement state or related purchase information;
free usage counters where applicable.
This information is used to provide App functionality and remember your preferences.
ClipsCutter does not intentionally sell your video contents or selected files.
Your selected videos are processed locally for the cutting or conversion operation you request.
Third-party services integrated into the App, such as Google AdMob, Google Play Billing, or consent-management services, may process their own data according to their respective privacy policies and applicable configuration.
We use reasonable technical measures and Android platform mechanisms to limit file access to the resources required for App functionality.
However, no software system or method of electronic storage can guarantee absolute security.
ClipsCutter is not specifically designed for children.
We do not knowingly use the App to collect video contents from children through Krepel Studio servers.
Third-party services used by the App may operate according to their own policies and age-related requirements.
We may update this Privacy Policy when the App, its functionality, legal requirements, or third-party services change.
When the Privacy Policy is updated, the "Last updated" date at the top of this page will be changed.
