2023 REGISTRATION IS OPEN - New LOWER fee!
7/21 - 9/17
9 Weeks of games + 1 tournament, teams will play at least 1 game per week @ Leland Park.
Games will be at 5:30, 6:30, and 7:30pm
We will hold a Round Robin style tournament after the conclusion of the regular schedule.
Open to any player age 16+ as of 7/21.
NEW COED RULES
Your roster may be coed, but in no longer required to have 2 females on defense.
You must have a minimum of 10 players and a maximum of 12 players on your game-time roster.
The first 6 teams to fully register and pay will be guaranteed a spot. Because space is so limited, we are requiring team captains to pay the entire team fee to ensure your team is secured.
You may have additional players registered as fill ins, but you may only have 12 on your game-time roster. You may pay an additional $50 for all players after the first 12. An additional 2 teams (8 total) may be accommodated.
Roster & Substitutions
You may show up with a maximum of 12 players on your game-time roster. you may elect to have all players bat and have free substitution, or have 10 of them play the field and bat.
If you bat everyone, you have free substitution all game, and anyone may pinch run at any time.
If you have more than 10, but bat only 10, the additional players may be used as Pinch Runners for any player at any time. The additional 2 players may also be used for substitutions. They will take the place of the player in the batting order that they replaced on defense. The player subbed out is then considered an additional player, and can be used as a Pinch Runner at any time for any player. A starting player may reenter the game once, but must take their original batting position back. Once a substitute is pulled from the game, they may not renter the game a 2nd time but may still be used as a Pinch Runner.
Count & Strike Zone
3 balls, 2 strikes. You can foul out. We will play a base + mat strike zone. If the ball hits the base or the mat, it is a strike. All pitches must be at least 6' arc and no more than 12' arc. Any pitch that does not meet these requirements will be called a ball.
Game Length, Scoring, Mercy Rule
7 innings played, no new inning after 50 minutes. If losing, the home team will have a chance to bat in the final inning, no matter the game time. Mercy rule is 10 runs after 5 innings.
Home Run Limits
Each team is limited to 6 home runs for the game. We will play a “1up” rule. This means that once both teams have hit their run limit, they can “1up” their opponent with another home run, incrementally. Each HR after your limit is counted as a single and all runners will advance 1 base, whether forced or not.
Commitment Line & Scoring Plate
Any runner that advances past the commitment line (half way between 3rd and home) will be committed to advancing as if they are forced. There will be a 2nd home plate placed 8 ft to the right of home plate. On any scoring play other than a HR, the runner must score by touching this Scoring Plate. If the defense touches home plate with possession of the ball before the runner reaches the scoring plate, it is an out like any other force play.
Intentional Walks
If a male batter is walked in 3 pitches (no strikes thrown or foul balls hit), and a female batter follows him, the female batter has the option to take a walk or bat.
Sportsmanship
Any player deemed to be acting in an unsportsmanlike manner, ad determined by the Umpire or the League President, will be ejected for the game they are in plus the game immediately following. There are no appeals to this decision. Be cool.
Other Rules
No lead-offs or stealing.
No metal spikes allowed.
All bats are allowed, use what you have.
You may play with 9 players, but the 10th spot in the order will be an out.

The 12" Clincher ball is as close to real slow-pitch softball as you can get without smashing the ball 300'+. It is safer for mixed leagues, harder to hit long distances, and still keeps the nature of the game the same.
We've been playing Clincher ball for many years, and it's catching on around the entire region. This unique league allows us to play full softball on a smaller diamond without the risk of taking a line drive off the face.
This ball is the ultimate equalizer, making it fun for anyone at any skill level.
Team Captains will register their entire team. We will send you a payment link once we get your information. Once payment is processed, we will reach out to get your shirt color and team name from you. You will then get confirmation of your team's spot and your schedule.
