WaveRise is a new online portal designed to connect Southern California community college students with entry-level, no-bachelor’s-required opportunities in the Blue Economy, climate action, and sustainability sectors.

From paid internships and fellowships to first-job placements, WaveRise helps students find meaningful, future-focused work while also giving faculty tools to guide and prepare their students for success. Employers get a direct link to emerging local talent, while faculty gain insight into the skills and qualifications that hiring managers are seeking.

WaveRise was created by the West Los Angeles College Career Center in partnership with the California Center for Climate Change Education at WLAC, which serves as a Pillar Lead for the Blue Economy and Climate Action Pathways (BECAP) initiative
