This Privacy Policy explains how we ("we", "us", or "our") collect, use, disclose, store, and protect information when you use Clima Cue: Local Forecast (the "App" or "Service").
The App provides weather-related features, such as current weather, forecasts, weather alerts, saved locations, widgets, and weather-based settings. By using the App, you agree to the collection and use of information as described in this Privacy Policy.
We collect information you provide, information generated when you use the App, and information collected through device permissions or third-party services.
Weather features often require location information. Depending on the features you use and the permissions you grant, the App may collect or process:
Approximate location, such as city, region, or location inferred from your IP address
Precise location, such as GPS-based latitude and longitude, if you grant precise location permission
Saved cities, searched locations, and favorite locations
Location updates needed for weather alerts, widgets, or automatic local weather refreshes
We use location information to provide local weather, forecasts, severe weather alerts, air quality information, radar or map features, widgets, and related App functions.
You can use the App by manually searching for or saving a city instead of granting location permission, although some location-based features may not work. You can disable or change location permissions at any time in your device settings.
If the App requests background location, we will use it only for features you enable, such as weather alerts, widgets, or automatic local forecast updates when the App is not open. We will provide any required in-app disclosure and obtain permission before collecting background location.
When you search for weather or use weather features, we may process:
City names, postal codes, coordinates, or other location queries
Weather preferences, such as temperature unit, language, notification settings, and saved locations
Weather alert settings
Widget configuration and display preferences
App settings and locally stored preferences
We may collect limited technical and usage information to provide, secure, debug, and improve the App, including:
Device model, operating system, system version, language, region, and time zone
App version and build number
Screen size, network type, and device settings relevant to App functionality
IP address
Advertising identifier or similar resettable device identifier, where permitted by law and device settings
App interactions, feature usage events, session information, and ad interactions

If you enable notifications, we may process notification tokens, alert preferences, saved locations, and related settings to send weather alerts, forecast updates, severe weather notifications, or other App notifications.
You can disable notifications at any time in your device settings.
If the App offers account features, support, backup, synchronization, purchases, subscriptions, or similar services, we may collect:
Name
Email address
Account identifier
Login information from supported sign-in providers
Information you include when contacting us for support or feedback
If the App does not offer account creation, we do not collect account registration information.
If you purchase paid features, subscriptions, or other digital content, payment is processed by Google Play or another applicable payment provider. We do not collect or store your full payment card number. We may receive purchase status, subscription status, transaction identifiers, and related information needed to provide paid features and support.
We use information for the following purposes:
To provide current weather, forecasts, weather maps, air quality, weather alerts, widgets, saved locations, and related features
To update local weather automatically when you enable location-based features
To remember your saved cities, preferences, units, language, and notification settings
To send notifications you enable
To process purchases and manage subscriptions
To provide customer support and respond to requests
To monitor, debug, secure, and improve the App
To analyze aggregated or de-identified usage trends
To show, measure, and improve ads, where permitted by law and your device settings
To comply with legal obligations and enforce our terms and policies
We do not use precise location information to determine sensitive characteristics about you.
We may share information only as described below.
To provide weather information, the App may send your selected city, searched location, or coordinates to weather data providers. These providers return weather forecasts, current weather, alerts, radar, air quality, or related information.
Weather data providers may process this information according to their own privacy policies. We share only the information reasonably needed to provide weather features.
We may share information with service providers that help us operate, host, maintain, analyze, secure, or improve the App. These providers may include cloud hosting, analytics, crash reporting, customer support, authentication, payment, notification delivery, and infrastructure providers.
Service providers may access information only to perform services for us and must handle it in accordance with applicable privacy and security obligations.
We may use analytics and crash reporting tools to understand App performance, diagnose issues, and improve features. These tools may collect device information, usage events, crash logs, diagnostics, general region information, and technical identifiers.
The App may display ads through third-party advertising networks, such as Google AdMob, AppLovin, Unity Ads, Pangle, Meta Audience Network, or other advertising partners actually integrated in the App.
Advertising partners may process information such as advertising identifiers, IP address, approximate location, device information, ad interactions, and usage events to deliver, measure, and improve ads, including personalized ads where permitted by law and your device settings.
We do not sell precise location information. We do not share precise GPS location with advertising partners unless this is clearly disclosed in the App, permitted by law, and controlled by your consent or device settings. If personalized advertising is available, you can limit or reset your advertising identifier through your device settings.
If we are involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, bankruptcy, or sale of assets, information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will take reasonable steps to ensure the receiving party respects this Privacy Policy or provides notice of any material changes.
We may disclose information if we believe it is reasonably necessary to:

We are responsible for ensuring that third-party code used in the App is consistent with our privacy disclosures and applicable platform policies. Please review the privacy policies of third-party services for more information about their practices.
We retain personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy, unless a longer retention period is required or permitted by law.
Saved cities, weather preferences, widget settings, and other App settings may be stored locally on your device until you delete them, clear App data, or uninstall the App.
If the App provides account, backup, sync, or server-based features, associated information may be stored on our servers or by our service providers. When you request deletion of your account or associated data, we will delete or de-identify personal information within a reasonable period, except where retention is required for legal, security, fraud prevention, dispute resolution, accounting, or legitimate business reasons.
Backup copies may persist for a limited period before being automatically overwritten or deleted.
You can control many data uses directly through your device or App settings, including:
Location permission, including approximate or precise location
Background location permission, if requested

Saved cities and search history
Advertising identifier reset or ad personalization controls

If the App allows you to create an account, you may request deletion of your account and associated personal information from within the App or by contacting us.
When you request deletion, we may ask you to verify your identity. We will delete or de-identify your account information and associated personal information within a reasonable period, except where we need to retain limited information for legal compliance, fraud prevention, security, accounting, dispute resolution, or enforcement of our agreements.
Deleting the App from your device may not delete an online account or server-stored data. If you created an account, please use the account deletion feature or contact us to request deletion.
If the App does not allow account creation, this section applies only to other personal information deletion requests.
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect personal information. These measures may include encryption in transit, access controls, monitoring, vulnerability management, and data minimization.
No method of transmission or storage is completely secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security, but we work to protect your information in a manner appropriate to the sensitivity of the data.
We and our service providers may process information in countries or regions other than where you live. Data protection laws in those locations may differ from those in your jurisdiction.
Where required by applicable law, we use appropriate safeguards for international transfers of personal information.
The App is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will take appropriate steps to delete it.
If a higher age threshold applies in your region, we will comply with that requirement.

The App may contain links to websites, services, or content that we do not operate. Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of third parties.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make changes, we will update the "Last updated" date. If changes are material, we may provide additional notice, such as through the App, by email, or by another appropriate method.
Your continued use of the App after an updated Privacy Policy becomes effective means you accept the updated policy.
