FUTURISTIX DIGITAL MARKETING PTE. LTD ("we", "us", or "our") provides Weather Forecast&Radar (the "App"). This Privacy Policy explains how information is collected, used, shared, retained, and protected when you use the App or contact us. It applies to the Android and iOS/iPadOS versions. Features and service providers may differ by platform, App version, and region.
We process cities and other locations you search for or save. If you allow location access, the App may use the approximate or precise coordinates provided by your device to show local weather. We also process settings such as language, temperature units, theme, notification preferences, and widget choices. Saved locations, search history, preferences, and cached weather may be stored on your device.
You can search for or save a city without granting location access. You can change or revoke location permission in your device settings. Some automatic local-weather features may be unavailable without that permission.
The App and enabled service providers may process your IP address, device type, operating system and version, App and SDK versions, language, time zone, network information, installation or App-instance identifiers, App launches, screen views, feature interactions, permission status, notification interactions, crash reports, and performance diagnostics. The exact fields depend on the platform, enabled services, and your settings. Device and installation identifiers can be personal information even if they do not include your name.
On Android, enabled measurement or advertising services may process an Android advertising identifier, Android ID where permitted, installation-referrer information, advertising events, and information used to detect invalid traffic. On iOS/iPadOS, enabled analytics and messaging services may use App-instance or installation identifiers and a push registration token. Access to the iOS advertising identifier and tracking across other companies' apps or websites is subject to applicable App Tracking Transparency controls.
If you send us feedback or contact us, we process the message, any email address or other contact information you provide, and related technical information needed to respond or investigate an issue. Please do not include passwords, payment-card numbers, or other unnecessary sensitive information in feedback.
We use information to:
retrieve and display weather, forecasts, air quality, radar, and related information for a location;
remember saved cities, settings, and widgets;
deliver notifications you enable and measure whether they are opened;
measure installations and App use, diagnose crashes, improve reliability, and protect the service;
display and measure ads in Android versions that include advertising, subject to applicable settings and choices;
respond to feedback and support requests; and
comply with legal obligations and address fraud or security issues.
Where applicable law requires a legal basis, we rely on the basis appropriate to the purpose, such as providing a requested feature, complying with the law, our legitimate interests where permitted, or consent where required. Granting a device permission does not authorize unrelated uses of information.
When you request weather for your current or selected location, the App sends coordinates or a city/location identifier to the relevant weather or air-quality provider. The provider may also receive connection information, including your IP address, as part of the request.
The iOS/iPadOS version requests location while the App is in use and does not request continuous background location access. Android features that update weather outside the main App view may use a saved city or a location previously obtained with permission, depending on the enabled feature and device settings.
Weather requests use AccuWeather. Air-quality requests may use WAQI/AQICN, and earthquake information may be retrieved from USGS. Radar features may load third-party web content, which can process browser or connection information and use website storage under its own privacy practices.
If you enable notifications, we process the registration token and settings needed to send them, as well as notification identifiers and interaction events used to measure delivery or opens.
On iOS/iPadOS, remote notifications are delivered through Firebase Cloud Messaging and Apple Push Notification service. The current iOS/iPadOS version does not generate local morning or evening weather reminders or local weather-warning notifications. On Android, available versions may provide local or persistent weather notifications, scheduled reports, or an optional report overlay, subject to the features you enable and relevant system permissions.
You can disable notifications in your device settings. This does not prevent you from browsing weather information in the App.
Android versions that display ads may use Google AdMob, TradPlus, and advertising partners enabled through the actual mediation configuration. Those partners may process advertising identifiers, IP address, approximate location, device and network information, ad requests, impressions, clicks, and App events to deliver, measure, and improve ads, subject to applicable law and your choices. The current iOS/iPadOS version does not display ads.
Analytics and attribution services may measure App installations, usage, and campaign performance on either platform. On iOS/iPadOS, we request permission through App Tracking Transparency before accessing the advertising identifier or engaging in activity that requires that permission. Refusing tracking does not prevent basic weather use. On Android, you can use available advertising privacy settings and any consent or opt-out controls offered in the App for your region.
Depending on your region and the actual data-sharing arrangement, advertising-related disclosures may be treated as a “sale,” “sharing,” or “targeted advertising” under applicable privacy law even if no money is exchanged for the information. Where required, we provide a way to opt out.
We use third-party services for the functions described below. The information each receives depends on the feature used, platform, and enabled configuration:
AccuWeather: weather forecasts and location lookup; receives a queried city or coordinates and connection information. Privacy policy.
WAQI/AQICN: air-quality requests; may receive query coordinates and connection information. Privacy information.
USGS: earthquake information requests; receives query parameters and connection information. Privacy information.
Google Firebase: enabled analytics, crash diagnostics, remote configuration, and cloud messaging; may process App-instance identifiers, events, diagnostics, and push registration information. Privacy and security information.
Apple platform services: iOS/iPadOS push delivery and platform privacy controls. Privacy information.
AppsFlyer: installation attribution and App-event measurement; may process installation and event information, IP address, and permitted identifiers. Services privacy policy.
Meta/Facebook SDK: configured App-event or installation measurement; may process technical identifiers and event information. Privacy policy.
IAA/Nexad analytics infrastructure: configured analytics and push-token reporting; may process App events, installation or App identifiers, push tokens, and feedback or rating events submitted through the App.
Android advertising services: Google AdMob, TradPlus, and any advertising partners actually enabled for the Android release may process the advertising information described in Section 5. Google privacy policy; TradPlus SDK privacy policy.
Radar web content: a third-party website displayed within the radar feature may process IP address, browser information, website storage, and location if access is permitted through the applicable controls.
The App may also disclose information when reasonably necessary to comply with law, respond to valid legal requests, protect rights or safety, investigate fraud or security issues, or complete a merger, acquisition, or similar business transaction subject to applicable safeguards.
Saved cities, search history, preferences, widget settings, and cached weather may remain on your device until you delete them, clear App data, or uninstall the App. Device backup and restoration settings may affect whether local information is restored after reinstallation. Uninstalling the App does not automatically delete information already held by us or a service provider.
We retain information only as long as reasonably needed for the purposes described in this policy, including to provide services, respond to feedback, investigate problems, maintain security, and meet legal obligations. Retention periods differ for feedback, analytics, crash diagnostics, and push-registration records and may be affected by provider settings. When information is no longer needed, we delete or de-identify it, subject to applicable legal or security requirements.
We and our service providers may process information in countries or regions other than where you live. Where required by applicable law, we use appropriate safeguards for international transfers of personal information.
You can manage location accuracy and access, notifications, and applicable advertising or tracking controls in your device settings. You may also manage saved cities and other available preferences in the App. Turning off a permission limits future access governed by that permission; it does not automatically erase information previously sent to a server.
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or receive a copy of your personal information; restrict or object to certain processing; withdraw consent; or opt out of certain advertising-related uses. You may also be able to complain to a relevant privacy authority. Contact us using the email below to make a request. We may ask for information reasonably needed to verify your identity and locate the relevant records.
If you are covered by U.S. state privacy laws, additional rights may include opting out of a sale or sharing of personal information, targeted advertising, or certain profiling, where applicable. We will not discriminate against you for exercising an applicable privacy right.
The App is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If a higher age threshold applies in your region, we will follow that requirement. If you believe a child has provided information that should not have been collected, contact us so we can investigate and take appropriate steps.
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards intended to protect personal information from unauthorized access, misuse, or loss. No method of transmission or storage can be guaranteed completely secure.
We may update this policy when the App or our information practices change. We will update the “Last updated” date and provide additional notice for material changes where required. If a change requires new permission or consent, we will request it as required by law or platform rules.
