ClickFX is a Chrome extension that provides customizable audio feedback for completed downloads and tab actions.
ClickFX may handle the following information locally on the user’s device:
A custom audio file and filename selected by the user
The user’s selected volume level
The enabled or disabled sound preference
Temporary browser-event signals indicating that a download completed, a tab opened, or a tab closed
Custom audio is used only to play the sound selected by the user.
The custom audio file is stored locally in the extension’s IndexedDB storage. Volume and enabled or disabled preferences are stored locally using Chrome extension storage.
Browser-event signals are used temporarily to trigger sounds. ClickFX does not save a history of downloads, opened tabs, or closed tabs.
ClickFX does not transmit user audio, settings, browsing information, or other user data to external servers.
ClickFX does not sell, share, or transfer user data to third parties.
ClickFX does not use analytics, advertising trackers, accounts, or cloud storage.
ClickFX uses the following Chrome permissions:
Downloads: Used only to detect when a download finishes. ClickFX does not read or upload downloaded file contents.
Storage: Used to save sound preferences and volume locally.
Offscreen: Used to play audio triggered by browser actions.
Custom audio remains stored locally until the user restores the default sound or removes the extension.
Saved settings remain locally until they are changed or the extension is removed.
The use of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
